  i am very new to the site and i'm sure there is a learning curve, so please bear with me.

  i have looked around a little and find the site very interesting and encouraging so far.

  it is heartwarming to meet other people with questions or experiences who can relate them without needing to hide behind blatant negativity or automatic judgemental attitudes.

  well after getting all the christmas cards i learned something( what did you say about time?).

  i found out that some folks i always thought were female were male!!!!.

  and those i thought were male were female .

  i don't feel comfortable living as an atheist.

  i believe the world is far to complex and humans are too incredible to have just occurred.

  therefore, if i was to attend a church, which one should i consider?

  Pick a fellowship that the culture fits your personality. Since you've already associated with an authoritarian, abusive religion, just look for the warning signs to stay away from. Can't question anything, pressure to perform, feelings of guilt, etc, etc.

  Congratulations on believing in God. Why not pray to him to find a suitable fellowship in your area?

  we often hear about a so-called 'world wide brotherhood'.

  is this possibly true?.

  if i were to make a trip somewhere going near where you live and contacted you, would you invite me for a meal or a nights stay without really knowing me except for my internet postings?.

  I Miss My JW Daughters Terribly- But I Have a Plan for 2008 !

  well, towards the end of 2007, my life is really basically very good !

  i have a lot to be thankful for, a wonderful wife , great son , a good place to live in the mountains , and great animals on our property , a peaceful life .

  just one big void still there in my life , my jw daughters have frozen me out of their lives .

  I would say, 'don't forget prayer'. At least if you are a believer. Many claim results from this, although sometimes much time and patience is needed. My personal feelings are, prayer is very powerful, and God is a Master in figuring out difficult situations and causing things to happen for the good of all.

  Just a thought.
