Dear Brothers,
The 'End' did indeed come in 1975. It's just the 'End' was not near as 'bad' as we expected it to be!

i am too young to know what actually happened before and during 1975, but you know said this to me, and i would like some more information.. quote.
are you completely ignorant of why many of jehovah's witnesses looked to the year 1975?
do you think it was just something someone made up?
Dear Brothers,

just watched the weather channel.
they're saying snow, sleet, and ice starting around midnight tonight and lasting thru tomorrow nite.. i've been saying that we're overdue for another "blizzard of 73".. with my luck i'm gonna get snowed in at work tomorrow.. well, at least there's some decent hotels across the street.
maybe i'll get lucky and the fuddruckers next door will get snowed in too.
Nothing compared to Michigan! Tons of snow and drifting plus below zero temps. And to top it off our electricity has been off since early morning and was just back in service about a half hour ago.
Outaservice (but in Macon would be doing just fine)
in 1972 the great irish balladeer don mcclean introduced the song "american pie.
" it was and still is a classic.
the song is full of symbolism and even to this day almost thirty years after the song was first introduced, mcclean will not reveal the real meanings behind much of that symbolism.. in that song, he sings about "the day the music died.
Farkel,
I think it had something to do with the 1922 Cedar Point, Ohio Convention when during a freak storm the sound system was shut down fulfilling the Scripture in Revelation about 'a silence occuring for over a half-hour' when a scroll was opened, at the convention of course!

i have a quesion not related to this.
Someone recently sent me the website with that information on it. I thought I had saved it but evidently trashed it. But, I know it exists somewhere.
If you should find it, please e-mail me with the information, as I too would like it.

the watchtower society dates noah's flood to 2370 b.c.e.
they do this by following bible chronology quite closely, counting backwards from 607 b.c.e., their date for babylon's destruction of jerusalem.
however, as we know, the society's date for that event is in error.
Good Post aChristian.
The ad at the top of this post shows the book THE GENTILE TIMES RECONSIDERED. If any have not read this, do so, as it absolutely proves there is no basis for the Society's 607 BCE date!
Why the Organization holds to that date is beyond me, especially in view of the fact that the 1914 date has been greatly watered down.

i once saw princess diana.
it was in a nunawading street when her and charlie came here in 83 after the bushfires.
i was stood in the middle of a roundabout, away from the crowds, and she looked into my eyes, smiled and waved.
Farkel,
Why do you keep 'beating around the bush' about how you feel about Nathan Knorr?
Just come out and say it! Ha.

dear brothers,.
we jehovah's witnesses number into the millions.. when my watchtower came in the mail the first thing i looked at was 'questions from the readers' as i felt this would be where 'new light' would probably be found.. lately, i've noticed that there are not too many issues have any questions from readers.
how could this possibly be, with millions of us?
Saint Satan,
New Light does not come from the 'Questions' but from the Society's 'answers'!
However, don't take this origional 'Post' serious, it's just having some fun with the old WTBTS.

Gumby,
Why of course, the Society teaches a lot of things that are not found in the Bible! Thats why it's called 'new' light, or more correctly new teachings.

Dear Brothers,
We Jehovah's Witnesses number into the millions.
When my Watchtower came in the mail the first thing I looked at was 'Questions From The Readers' as I felt this would be where 'New Light' would probably be found.
Lately, I've noticed that there are not too many issues have any questions from readers. How could this possibly be, with millions of us? Dosen't anyone have any questions?
Your loyal Brother,
