The number of posts Freyd has made tells us s/he is not a new poster.
In fact, the comments sound curiously like an old poster with a different, yet similar name.
Perhaps s/he was "reinstated" but with a new alias?
Anyway -- doesn't anybody here watch "Charmed?" Those witches are NICE and are always fighting the MEAN old Demons!!!!
Any wtiches I know are also nice! ;)

The power of witches and occultism
by greendawn inmany believe that the power of witches, male or female, to cause a great deal of harm and suffering by invoking the venomous power of the demons is an evident fact.
there are many stories of such activities going on, the casting of spells, enchantments and curses, harming humans in a psychological way through the use of these invisible powers.
some believe these are just fanciful ideas and fairy tales, the atheists have no option after all but to believe this.

My congregation was actually good at this!
Euchre, wine, great food and, okay, some Bible-based parlor games if indoors,
But outdoors we had skating parties, bonfires, baseball, basketball and touch football games, wading in the creek, volleyball, walks in the woods, swingsets and sandboxes for the young kids, etc. We even had karaoke night once, and we didn't sing Kingdom songs all night, either -- although it was good to thoroughly review the lyrics to pop songs before beginning, LOL. -

It's very interesting!
A crown of thorns encircling a brain vulnerable to the pain yet borne on wings...
Why did you choose it, kwint?

Feeling great doing well and a new Ford F 150
by hambeak ini haven't posted for a while because of health problems.
medication caused most of it and on labor day i went back to icu for acute hepatitis.
this was all due to med errors on the part of my doc.

Hambeak, it's great to hear from you!
Congrats on the wheels and boo! hiss! to the docs. My oncologists seemed very aware of which organs -- kidneys or liver -- were filtering my various meds and consequently told me to stay away from even things like Tylenol or Ibuprofen (as the case might be).
The internet is often a godsend, and thank goodness your partner researched further!
You seem to have shrugged off the medication mix-up, so I guess you love your doc otherwise. While I wouldn't advise a lawsuit, it sure makes one wonder if it isn't the doctor that should fork out the money for your hospital bill....
Enjoy the wheels!

A few odd things I would appreciate some insight into.
by TheSilence ini've been away for a few days because my sister was in town visiting.
during her visit she mentioned a few things that have me scratching my head.. 1. her husband applied for a job and is really hoping to get it... it's a web design based job (i believe) but it's for the sherrif's department?.
2. she put off making definite plans to come in town until the last minute to find out if she was scheduled for jury duty?

I haven't been in a KH for years, either, Jackie, but
1/ I think it's a conscience matter whether or not to work for the government. It depends upon what you would be called upon to do, and even then, I remember a brother asking me as one of my questions for baptism if a brother was offered employment as a custodian at a school knowing it was required to hoist the national flag every morning, could he accept? The answer was yes, because it was a part of the job and he was not worshipping the flag. What it meant to others there was immaterial. So perhaps an IT job with the Sheriff's dept. would also be justifiable?
2/ I also believe Witnesses are encouraged to perform jury duty as good citizens as long as the case is not a capital one.
Those with access to Questions From Readers from recent years are probably better equipped to answer, however.

((((((((((((es)))))))))))))
I am sorry for your feelings of hurt and anger and regret because your nan is passing on. Tho it's not the same as her physically being there, I believe she will be able to be with you and see your children grow up in spirit. If this is not also your belief, I would recommend asking her to give you a sign that eternal life exists once she's gone from this earth. And then I would do my best to keep her alive for my kids by journaling your best memories of Nana and speaking of her often. Perhaps you've already thought of some of these things.
For now, you are giving her a precious parting gift with your bedside presence, affectionate touch, and loving words.

My Sister's Visit
by Sunspot inmost of you know that my family disowned me in 1972 when i was baptized into the wts.
i have only one sibling, a kid sister .
i was thrilled, but nervous, not having a clue how things would go and trying to keep in mind all the things i should not say as well as things i was eager to find out about, concerning the rest of the family i have had no contact with.. the moment we laid eyes on each other (and recovered frm the gigundo hug), it all went just great!!!
