Just speaking from a pure PUBLICITY standpoint, there is a reason to keep things under wraps until the best time to unveil them.
Once the lawsuit in NH was publically announced, the BEST thing any of us can do is to "advertise, advertise, advertise"!
I happened to be out of town and electronically incommunicado when the press release was finally made. Looked to see the reaction here when I got back over the weekend, but didn't find this particular thread until today.
I am interested to hear what hawk has to say about this case, and I agree that CommieChris' insight would also be helpful as his specialty, I believe, is [Canadian] constitutional law.
But MadApostate, I find it really hard to believe that you are NOT some sort of legal professional (perhaps you attended law school, then, but decided to pursue another career?) because you seem so well-educated (for an ex-JW) in these matters?
I "googled" and found the Boston Herald(?) article that stated that the Rees case would not be heard by the U.S. A shame, but true.
I would like to see Utopian Reformist's findings, too. Will they dispute the newspaper article and Maximus' post? I somehow doubt it.
