Yep, I remember that and you're right, it was to go into court and "speak with a forked tongue".

The original was written by the Writing Department. It was re-written by two Society lawyers, Carolyn Wah and Sarah Mott-Trille Hamilton. So much for Holy Spirit being behind all the Spritual food from the Watchtower.

I've been studying with JW's for a few months..

i've been studying with the jw's for a few months and i've attended a few meetings but things are feeling somewhat strange...i don't quite get the jist of things but i feel that i'm learning more of what the watchtower teachers and less of what the bible actually says.. i never open my bible.. i'm always reading the watchtower pamphlets.

i really like the people i've met in the congregation and the guy thats been doing the studies with me has been an awesome friend.. .

but i'm just having some issues.. i mean.. they translated their own bible to suit their own doctrines it seems.

An Elder Just Knocked on My Door

i didn't bother to answer.

it's probably because i told my ex last week that i will personally sue the individual elders if they meet with my daughter again to counsel her without my parental consent.

we have joint custody and that means they need joint parental consent to counsel a minor.. i am filing for sole custody of our 12 year old daughter and will be serving him with the legal paperwork next week.

Did You Know or Know Of "Straight" JWs???

while you were in the truth did you meet or know of any straight jw's.

i once met this brother who was married, that in itself was a dead give away, occassionally he would turn up in a brown suit smelling of very cheap aftershave (secret christmas pressie i bet)that was another clue.

anyway one day i found out this straight brother beat his wifde and kids, and regularly.

i am an addict.

and that is one good reason to back off some.

but the overriding reason is that my nerves have been frayed lately by the actions of a hidden 'stalker', a jw who is hiding behind a cyber-curtain.

Sorry to 'hear' your plight - I think you might need to 'sleep on it' as it may be better to tough it out.

Mind you, if you're an addict (maybe a lot of us are!!) going 'cold turkey' might be wise. I seem to recall that this was your aim a few months back?

i'm a bit sad in a way, since i know you are no threat to me.

still, out here in the 'real life', we have rules regarding civil conduct that even jehovah's witnesses must abide by to keep their 'privilages' here.

It's clear that the purpose he/she employed is not in keeping with what we expect on JWD.

(Strange how a claimed-JW can employ such insincere and deceptive practices that are bordering on the illegal!

Well, maybe it shouldn't be surprising - many posting here have experienced evil from those boasting that they are "true christians™"! )

We greatly treasure the atmosphere of help and support provided on JWD and will do all we can to protect our sincere members.
