  Some of us used to style ourselves as being of a certain “class” the way that Watchtower had “anointed class”, “John class”, “other sheep class”, and so on.

  Those were the days ! Many a smile from some of the ‘classes’.

  nwt interprets the verse: “the blood of his own son”.

  nwt is an accurate interpretation because the verse is axiomatically referring to the blood of jesus and not the blood of god..

  Oh yes, one particular ‘case’ still haunts me, even though it was around 30 years ago.

  Admittedly it was some time before my own exit, but that ‘case’ along with other memories contributed to my own seeing TTaboutTT.

  I console myself with the thought that we actually did that guy we DF a favour by getting him away from the borg and all its control.

  Well, some may not see it this way, but when LE proclaims a particular belief system, he is putting his faith in that, much like any other religious adherent does in what they believe.

  I don’t know why this is posted in the Watchtower Scandals forum but anyway I can’t see the connection between Covid and the Nazis.

  I sympathise with those who think there was some overreach by the authorities in various lands but “Nazis”?

  thesis: when someone who is given a responsibility mistakes that responsibility for authority, bullying is very likely to occur.. jesus spoke an illustration recorded at matthew 24: 45-51 which well illustrates this thesis.. jesus asked, “who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over all his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?

  happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so.

  truly i say to you, he will appoint him over all his belongings.

  As the Bible says , the faithful slave is found at headquarters in New York and if you don't believe in them, regardless of your faith in Christ, you will be eternally destroyed at Armageddon.

  When I try to explain that to my bible study group, they look incredulous at me…..which just about sums up how ridiculous the teaching is but scary to think we once believed it.
