Oh wow I LOVE that show. I've watched from day one, and I also watch the repeats.. Oh those guys are so good at their jobs. Whats really neat is that the straight guys have not been around gay guys much before so it's great to watch them warm up and get chummy. My favorite part of every show is watching the fab five viewing their students at the end.. giving pass/fail grades.

Guess what I just did
by ignorance is strength inwell, i told my parent that i didn't want to be a jw (having not gone to meetings for many years) and it went pretty well.
i even disproved watchtower doctrines, but of course i was the one who was mistaken.. i aslo said that i would be going to other churches... i didn't specify because i didn't want to see the reaction to catholic.
i also signed up to start the process to become catholic (unlike the jw's you can just learn about the faith without any obligation or harrassment) i went down to st. francis de sales church and i signed up for the rcia program.

Strange days at my old hall. please read
by josephus ini havent said too much here recently, mainly due to a severe lack of anything to say !, however, tonight my old hall has had a special meeting with a talk by the head of the ireland branch.
he is visiting for a week and afterwords all present will be having snacks and drinks, in the hall.. please tell me what is happening with the world when special saterday night meetings are held with refreshments.
i think its because about 10 people have left recently and made no secret of their reasons, but still, its unheard of for this to happen.. any thoughts.

Metatron and JCanon, Balderdash and poppycock You spout this stuff as if it actually means something! Good grief. Get a hold of yourselves and read something scientific. Go to the national geographic web site and check out that article from last year about types of dating archeological materials. There is such a great amount of real science to study why spend time only on wishful thinking of pseudo-science .
Science builds constantly on what we have learned previously. Just look at the marvels of quantum physics which built on Newton and Einstein. Even the speed of light is causing a buzz as theorists develope ideas about the age of the universe.
And you're also mistaken about the total reliance on fossil fuels. NASA has a wonderful ion drive system which is powering the DeepSpace 1 exploration vehicle. While impractical for use on earth (gravity would cause drag and slow down the ion drive engine) this engine will enable more distant travel "out there." We often find that the developments by NASA eventually make their debut to the public. So someday, we won't use fossil fuels.
Reality is more interesting than pseudo-scientific opinion.

Lisa, Great thread! And so true about us! I finally became comfortable in my own skin and quit trying to be anyone but me. And as an example of the forthright forties:
My young woman friend Lisa was dating a much older guy. She wanted me to get to know him so we all went to lunch one afternoon. Well I took an instant dislike to this guy. And I became beligerent. I asked what a person his age was doing with someone much much younger. And why had he never been married? How old were his other girlfriends? Very straight to the point questions. Well we didn't get along. And Lisa asked why I was so punishing w/ questions. Well I said "if he was good for you I would've been nice but he just rubbed me the wrong way. "
Turns out he was an ass and dumped her in Guyana or Venezuela someplace like that. Fortunately she is very capable and got home on her own... moral to this story... women over 40 have learned to listen to their instincts .
