What if you were married with children and she decided to up and take them back to her family with her? WOW talk about abandonment! With her mindset there is just no way this relationship would be anything but toxic for you.

Sorry, I originally thought the meetup was earlier in the day. Mr.Panda gets up at 5AM on monday for work. So basically if we went we'd say hello and turn around to go home ( 2.5 hr drive) and of course we wouldn't really just turn around and go home soooo us old folks will miss out.{SIGH}
i know you all have adviced me just to keep low-profile and not bang out and tell my super-elder dad that i dont believe in his crap.

if im in a new town, i like going to eat at places that locals go to that most like likely are not in all the tourists guides, if possible.
if you were to come to my town, i'd probably take you to eat at dick's drive in (best burgers imo) and if you were in the mood for something fancy, maybe el gauchos (best steakhouse imo) and terrific atmosphere... how bout you?
Well, in my town you can get Mexican food everywhere except the Chinese Buffet (which is my favorite) They make the typical Chinese American food BUT also have a few authentic Chinese dishes which are ambrosia to me.

Have you told your parents how tired you are of everything...even tired of life as you know it? Maybe tell your Mom first that you are mentally and physically tired. She'll tell Dad. Being tired and depressed is not unusual for teenagers. It's a combination of hormones and growth. REally I'm not kidding. That way you'll buy some time missing meetings. Also, Valis mentioned the evening employment...especially when you're in college and still living at home... Heck, no one will contradict you having to work to pay for school. Especially now when your goals are to serve the WTS as a lawyer or accountent or creative writer whatever.
Talking to a school counselor and showing her the seriousness of the "cult" will help get other school officials rooting for you and help make plans for your future education.

These ridiculous maneauvors by WTS will no doubt bring applause from their minions of uneducated and internetless followers. I do hope that some JW's will go to libraries or schools to use the internet for information. I hope that they take a notebook and copy any info they need (thus averting the printing/copying fees). I hope that even the poorest of dubs has a library to go to, and a friendly librarian to help them .

Jehovah told the Israelites not to eat pork and other foods. The Israelites didn't know why they couldn't eat them, but those who obeyed were protected and blessed. I don't know why the legal department doesn't want us to do this copying and pasting and formatting for the benefit of others. At the same time I hope that by obeying, we'll be protected from something that I know nothing about.Actually, the Isrealites certainly would have known that as nomadic peoples pigs were not going to do well travelling. At best the pigs would get sick, and if you eat a sick pig you are likely to get sick too. As for shell fish... heck they knew nothing about shellfish and could easily pick up some red tide mussles and die eating them. So I'd say that modern readers of the mosaic laws "didn't know why they couldn't eat them," but those ancient nomads certainly did know.
