  i've been feeling bad the last few days... like a bad cold.

  *** cough - cough - sniff *** .

  on thursday i went to my doctor and she ordered a ct scan of my sinuses.

  DOCTORS RECEIVING EXTRA PERKS AT BETHEL

  obtaining a nice sized room in bethel (during a room bid) depends on seniority or full time service years (which includes pioneer service).

  since the gb needs doctors (dentists, etc) they would offer them the best rooms even though they never pioneered.

  one dentists in bethel was given a room that included a garage to park his car.

  I knew one Doc and family who moved, I think to Paterson. Eventually the son got married. But I'm not sure about the daughter. The whole family was fairly new to dubdum , maybe 3 or 4 years, before they made the move. I doubt any special treatment would make up for the lifestyle the gave up.

  YEah, I've seen this too. When I was in China I saw kids enter engineering classes who could use slide rules because their schools had no computers (until college). So they really understood why numbers went into certain formulae. Children today inthe US are not taught critical thinking.

  These people make me puke. Someone had to know, I mean really know what this man did; that children were his victims. I hope his family has to deal with all sorts of social ostracism in their community.

  Anyone know about 'cutting'?

  i am researching cutting and self-mutilation because i have a close family member who is doing this--she burned her arm last week and it's bad.

  i was wondering--i found an article on the internet that talks about support for the person and how some people get relief by using other methods like icing the skin with ice cubs or flicking themselves with rubber bands.. this person is in therapy and in the care of a psyciatrist too but i just wondered how common this is.

  her diagnosis isn't even for sure--could be adhd or depression.. any comments on experience with this would be helpful.

  Iggyfish, My frind has a 2 yr old grandson who bangs his head whenever he's throwing a temper tantrum. He's just started this a few months ago. He does it because he's angry (I think).

  Anewme, Yes the violence will escalate. And cutting really may or may not be "cured" But, persons I know have never stopped despte constant counceling.

  people always ask what subject they should raise with their jw relatives.

  the problem is, what is important to you is often of no consequence to me.

  no one knows what will be the issue to change a relatives mind.

  Wow if it were only that simple. Many dubs have no idea how to even explain 1919 never mind actually try to fathom it out. They just know what they've been taught MUST be the truth. Amen. So they'd actually need to ask for stuff like this from their own curiosity.

  good film.

  what i really respect about it is it is no hollywood version of what happened on that day.

  there is sparse use of music to try to pump up your emotions.

  MrPanda and I have been debating whether or not to see this film. I am concerned about the Hollywood-ization of a tragedy. But even worse I hate that so many TV shows have erased the twin towers from their intro and credits. Like "we'll help the bastards erase the whole event." We need to remember.

  We live not far from the "Alamo City" and I've learned so much about about lost battles and the heroes involved (not always what we were taught as kids).

  So now I think we'll go see it. Thanks, Panda

  MegaDude, Don't be mean. Most Americans don't know who the ruling class present administration officials are anyway. Or that our rights are being dug out from under us.   to day my doorbell ringed, on opening two gentleman excused themselves for ringing.

  they did it by accident and saw to late that they were'nt allowed to do so.. i was very surprised ans asked (stupid of me) why aren't you not allowed to ring at my door ?.

  they were jehovah's whitnesses and told me i am on a"not-calling" list.... .

  CW, The Jws have reached new levels of rudness. I guess that's what happens when they are taught that they will be saved and no one else will. RUDE!!!

  BTW have you seen the Dutch film "Submission"? Based on the experiences and book by Ayaan Hirsi Ali The Caged Virgin.
