  within a few weeks i leased a condo on the banks of the willamette river just out side the city of portland.

  as she got into her car she looked at me funny again, laughed and just shook her head.. .

  i told him that if i said i was sorry, i knew that is what they wanted to hear but it was not the truth.

  Dave , I absolutely HATE flower patterns and ruffles. Yuck Yuck Yuck

  I remember so many times sisters telling me to soften up, that black wasn't a color...and then that cobalt blue wasn't a decorating color. Yellow walls or blue walls maybe too bright...and flowers are nice boy I wanted to kick someone. Oh and when I did buy a flower print my friends said it was obscene. Yeah an obscene flower. God I hate that religion.

  Almost forgot to tell you that Tyrone Power was in the old original of the Razor's Edge... it was in black and white and maybe alittle more dramatic. But the scenary in the new one is better.

  it's a simple fact.

  jw's cannot freely express themselves.

  they can't freely tell another about a doubt or a question that they might have for fear they could be exposed to the elders.

  Blondie, Just a question... you mention that the WTS uses Jesus less and less for study articles, is the same going on in other materials? What do they teach now about Jesus as one of the annointed?

  PS I used this because it was a dble post and I didn't want to waste it as a dbl post.

  Blondie, Once again you enlighten us with some great research. I appreciate it because it reminds me of lies I believed and told! You help continue my education and maybe I will be able to help others focus on a particular lie which has evolved, like the mention about the annointed being the ones to do the preaching. Why did I not see this?

  How does a publishing company turn into a religion in the first place?

  Do you mean to tell me that no one has seen those pinata's running up to the podium and blaspheming the GB?

  Has anyone been df'ed for having a pinata? Next b'days will be ok because when else would you have a pinata?

  So many Bible based superstitions are oriented towards western european beliefs ;that anyone other than northern european "christian"caucasians are practicing evil witchy demonic satanic religion. Isn't that why missionaries got started? To bring righteous whitness to the heathen? To change eons old traditions into reasons for df'ing or being burned at the stake?

  well i was at a funeral today and i was really listening to what the pastor was saying and trying to rationalize the message he was expressing.

  he said that god could not help us or explain to us why this person had passed on but he could help us understand it!.

  so here we have the supposed someone or something who has the power to do all and make things right yet he will let you die but he will graciously help you understand.. what a farce this god is, one more reason for me to have no belief in this fairytale book called the bible.. beans.

  What kind of tree would you be?

  i was reading a book on celtic beliefs.

  and as the western beliefs have the zodiac; and the asians have the 12 animals who came to buddha, so the celts believe different trees represent basic characteristics in humans.. so ok which kind of tree would you be ?

  So I'm and apple tree. How about that. But I want to be an oak tree. Does that mean I have an identity crisis .... well that's always a possibility. I also liked tinks disney persona's. This is mindless and good fun!

  Many women have no idea that they can make it on their own. I have a friend who lived for awhile at a womans shelter and she had thought that that would be degrading. But she knew if she didn't stay that she'd end up dead and then what would her kid do?

  Also, some women are drug or alcohol dependent and just stay where they can get high.

  I knew a sister who's great big MS husband used to punch this petite woman around when he drank. She'd have a black eye so often. And the cong just looked away. Okay some brothers talked to him and he started a 12 step program, but I think I remember her with a black eye even after that.

  Some women think they MUST have a man. No matter what he does. I remember a young girl whose Mom refused to let her complain about the stepfather molesting her. HER OWN KID WAS MOLESTED!!!! Yeah the mother was a dub and needed a man.

  I wish drugs were legalized. It's the greedy drug companies that keep people living this way. If drugs were legal they would be cheaper and not so glamorous to begin with... I don't know anyone who isn't tired of the supposed "drug war". I remember when Bill Cosby's son was shot because another friend wanted money for drugs and set him up to be robbed. People are stupid and sick and if I may quote *kick*
