GIve me 100% on this quiz. I suspect women will do better than men because women are trained early to describe colors as we see them.

by doodle-v inawhile ago when i heard that prince had joined the borg immeadiately i thought "man, what a waste of talent" and yes i do think that musically prince is very talented.

Doodle-V, whether or not you were raised by JWs or wolves you would (we all would) still have many should-a would-a could-a's. That's how life goes. We make decisions and have to live with those. There are many 16 yr old mothers who after they age a few years realize how ilequipped they are for life.
As for your talents, please use them to the best of your ability. You will gain tremendous joy. I started college at 38yrs old. Found out how much I loved learning, lived overseas and learned a new language. So don't fret about the lost time .. just don't lose anymore.

I adored President Reagan. He was a "good guy". I am very upset that CBS has decided to lie about the President's view of AIDs. They have a totally fabricated statement that should be removed from the made for TV film . They don't even address the times Pres.Reagan was visiting little aids babies in hospitals and orphanages. And no one seems to give him credit for his unpopular political stand in his speech in Berlin "Mr.Gorbachev, take down this wall."

Someplace around Luling Texas there are high naturally occuring deposits of lithium. In the Karnes County Fall City area there are uranium deposits, and the working men used to traipse home covered in the dust. In Kenedy there are natural hotsprings (with sulphur).
But I don't think this has affected the fish.

In 1983 , 241 Americans were murdered in Beirut by a homicide truck bomber. Almost all of the dead were Marines, Army, or Navy, and very young. Today the survivors and surviving family members have gathered to remember their dead family and comrades. Many of the young men who survived the blast had to be dug out of rubble. Imagine the relief that the searches felt when they found survivors.
Immediately following this disaster President Reagan appointed D.Rumsfeld to his cabinet. I remember the scene when President Reagan spoke to the surviving family members, and after he spoke he went into the audience and shook the hand or hugged and kissed every single man woman and child in the audience. His compassion was as overwhelming as the disaster had been devastating. In a country where buracracy had become numbing, we saw a President who wanted to genuinely reach out to his fellow countrymen in their distress.

We had a class at UT titled The Bible as Literature. The translation of choice was the American Standard and clas content mainly dealt with the "Oriental tradition" of Job and the poetic books. The history was just the history (similar to reading tolstoy). Job has long been a subject for study in Classic Literature.

God is a tradition in America. I don't know anyone who views things like the Pledge of Allegiance or money as any more than that. Since our founding fathers were Unitarian and Masonic, they certainly had an open view of what established a religion, and that was personal choice. The individual is considered his own micro government and may choose to pray or not. Pledge or not, have money or not... nothing will ever be black or white. I have friends who jeer at me for celebrating Christmas in such a big way (lots of decorations and food and drink and I invite everyone to come over and set a spell.)
As for the President, the White House and God... There will always be recovering alcoholics who truly submit to a higher power, and if that gets them back to health I am glad they have that choice. I am also glad I don't. I voted for Pres.Bush because I liked his Everyman-ness, I adore his mother and think his wife is also down to earth. I respect and agree with the professional's who surround the President esp. Dr.Rice and C.Powell. Maybe I should start a campaign "Atheists for Bush." Back to the LAW ---
The Supreme Court , as part of a separate judiciary does not vote according to majority rule except in their own decisions. Whatever the majority of Americans want the Supremes legislate, to the best of their considerable abilities according to the Constitution. So, for good reason these judges are chosen not because they represent the people (like congress is supposed to) but rather protect the Constitution from wacko conclusion and resolution. They must judge between what is the letter of the law and the ideal of the law. They must judge to balance states rights, federal law, and individual rights.
It is not easy to Amend the Constitution. Thats why we still don't have an Equal Rights Ammendment. Equally we have Roe V. Wade which is part of the Constitution and must go throught the repeal process if the Court decides so.
Fortunately we have the Constitution to support our individuality yet not to press that on others.
