Remember all those celebs who became Christian Scientists? Also those who followed some NEW AGE guru (sort of a Unitarian Yoga group) Linda Evans was a big supporter of her. So now it's Bible studies with JWs.
We need to email our favorite groups and warn them that they are now targeted by the WTS --- WTS needs their money.

Then and you will not believe this, she said that DNA is tricky TRICKY and all that stuff about us and Chimpanzees is a lie. We are not 1.5% close. Oh lord I thought my reactor would blow *BOOM*
So now the fundy's (she is church of christ) are saying that the genome project is fraudulent... keep the barf buckets coming because I'll need them all. She got mad because she said I was stuffing this evolution stuff down her throat. AND that she never does this to me...I said are you kidding? We never get through even one conversation w/o her talking about church sermons and wonderful pastors...
So she wants me to watch this idiot on tv. I said I would if she would give me equal undivided attention to present evolution to her.
But I'm not sure where to start without saying something mean and degrading. HELP...

FlowerPetal, Rather than ask WHo made XYZ, I ask Why do the elements exist? How have the been eneabled to exist in their states? We do know some of these answers, stabilization is due to the electron orbits which cause their own gravity and evergy. By keeping the orbitting electros constant the nucleus os said element is protected. certain nuclei can be split, but the energy they release is destructive (radiation).
Anyway, where did everything come from. I don;t know, yet. But with the next discovery and the next and the next we'll get closer to the answer, so close that we'll know exactly where to look. Another paradigm shift.
i got one of those emails today.. you know those emails that are so profound and deep and are meant to stir your emotions.

anyway this particular one was about how quickly life passes by and how we are so caught up in lifes struggles that a lot of times we dont stop to enjoy it.
How exhausting ... phew everyday as if it's my last... no thanks. I need to sleep. My phone call would also be to my husband. I'd like a mausoleum with benches and pretty carvings, my name in different carved scripts (done by my friend Bertha who is a calligrapher) a copy of our marriage vows. Pictures like they used to put on grave stones (on the east coast). Climbing roses with a sprinkler system on a timer. Yeah, that's about right.
here it is 11 pm and i just returned from safeway where i went for a few quick items at 10. safeway is only a few blocks from my house.
as i was looking at the meat counter for some good bargains, being the cheap dude i am, as well as broke, a not unattractive blonde lady walks up to me and starts in complaining about the cost of granola, saying there is no way in hell she will pay $3 for a granola bar.
now, i have heard of women who go to stores late at night to get picked up by guys and quite honestly, always thought it was bs.

Lois Hardaway was my best friend. She reg.pio., was a few years older, and I felt like I belonged to her family. At my graduation she called me her child. I still get teary eyed when I think of how the WTS has manipulated her so that she won't speak to me. I haven't seen or heard from her in 6 years. She had always told me that the only thing that would keep her from me was if I left the truth. I do miss my old chosen family, very much. It makes me sick to know how thier lives are so stunted now, closed up like they are suffocating.

PP, Yeah, that's really something. I've read the other gospels are equally suspicious. It was around Polcarp's time that miracles were attributed to Jesus, virgin birth to Mary and the resurrection as witnessed by Mary Magdelene really helped the new sect survive.
