I know it's disgusting. I always remember hearing from certain elders that the age of accountability is much younger than we think...My ass!

I think this was so well said and so true, the children/victims are the lowest priority!

Why do Jehovah's Witnesses keep a data base of child molesters that in large part is never reported to police? The protection of money not children is the basic reason. The purpose of the data base is to monitor and prevent persons Jehovah's Witnesses have determined to be child molesters in their membership from serving in official capacity in the congregation. This in turn protects Watchtower Inc. from facing litigation for negligence for putting molesters in a leadership positions which could cost the organization money in the courts. The protection of children remains the lowest priority as this data base remains confidential from the congregation and many of the people that are kept on file will continue to molest children with the protection of "church" confidentiality.

What is confusing about this article is that they seem to suggest they have the file with the contacts that the insiders gave them. If that is the case have they released this to the authorities or is this just a poorly worded paragraph?

In the spring of 2002, silentlambs was contacted by three different sources who claimed to have connected with people inside the headquarters of the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of New York, located in Patterson , New York . These insiders provided silentlambs contacts with a computer data base number of 23,720 child molesters on file there. The files labeled as the “specialized shepherding arrangement” is a front for reporting child molesters to home office. Patterson is the location for the Service and Legal Departments of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, now calling itself the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses of New York, and it is in these two departments where these highly confidential files are kept. It is interesting to note the ramifications of this extraordinary number.

I think I found what I was looking for. hopefully this helps anyone else who wanted more details about this. This is going in my "truth about the truth" folder that I'm going to share with my family at some point. If this isn't one of the strongest pieces of evidence to show that this religion is not the truth, I don't know what is.

Brother, great talk, I really appreciate your practical application of scripture there, what a great example to all of us, that we need to take advantage of our new found freedom now, instead of fooling ourselves into believing there is freedom on the other side.

The JW dogma would have everyone believing that their new system will offer them great freedom to pursue what you want; and have no stress (blah blah blah), when in reality how could that be the case when the GB is going to have control over your life just like they do now? I can envision it - you are ordered to go on bible studies 5 days a week to study with the resurrected who have not been witnessed to. Oh gawd just shoot me.

How much stress did just the theocratic schedule and bullshit add to your life?

in the new system, in this new earth, there's nothing stopping any of us from experiencing "paradise" today

I was pressured by my dad to get baptized before I was 16 after studyng the youth, and the live forever book. I never really wanted to get baptized but when your pressured by your father as if their is no option what is a poor 16 year old supposed to do? I was torn, I loved my freedom and worldly friends in school but felt guilty at the same time by what those publications and my parents were feeding me. I've gone in waves thoughout my life of trying to get to that special happy spiritual paradise of happiness that they lied about.

After being an MS and being the most miserable I've ever been, and seeing the tired look on the faces of others in the meeting I knew something was very wrong. I started digging more deeply and reading comments on sites like this and was amazed at what I found. It makes me angry to know I gave so much of my energy and trust to that aweful organization. Hopefully my experiences can help someone escape their damned concentration camp in the future.

you know what i'm talking about: the trite, often-repeated phrases that convey the person offering the prayer has drawn a mental blank, and utters these words while their brain desperately searches for the next cliche', so they can conclude the ritual with the required tag, "in jesus' name we pray".... (is that like the postage stamp?).

One time I kid you not, a jackass of jackasses C/O (Loise Razor) during the closing prayer of the circuit assembly spent 1/5 of his long winded diatribe talking about his mothers sickended condition. Totally awkward and innapropriate; no doubt a ploy for extra money.

Great quote Terry. I wish Hollywood would do a full length feature film on the coordinated information coverup, lies and outright hypocrisy that this publishing corporation has distilled since its beginning. When you think about it, it really is the only reason it still exists. If every Witness had access to these old documents and could study them, the ship would surely sink. There is such a chasm between fact and reality when it comes to the how the average publisher perceives this organization as being "spirit directed".
