for years, i was told this..... " anyone who leaves the org is bitter, sad, and worse off, why do you think they come back???

guess what guys i am the opposite, now i quit cold-turkey (looking back, i should have faded correctly) i am planning on going to the memorial this month just to hear all "the friends" tell me how much they missed me.

since i have left the meetings, (jan. was my last meeting, i think).

EG - This is great, I'm happy for you. I guess they will be left scratching their heads as to why you look better than you did when they see you at memorial. That has got to feel good!

The Iranians are a little backward perhaps but they aren't totally insane or stupid .

I used to think that too, until I recently did some research into nano-technology. It turns out that they rank 10th in Nanoscience Production. IMHO this is the technology that will control who has the real power in this century. Iran is on track to be a real technological powerhouse; coupled with their radical Islamic theocracy government -- this is not a good combination.

Should they be attacked because they are a threat without first cause? I don't think so, but it should be a wake up call to the USA that maybe all of the reality TV and facebook that the masses waste their time on should perhaps be put aside, and we should spent more time collectively focusing on science and technology, space program etc. so that we don't fall behind in these vital areas and remain a leader and champion voice of freedom over all of these backward religious states.

I want to be rid of all relationships in my life that are conditional/judgemental (ie: toxic), including my family. I have no need for these relationships and they are damaging. I want to and need to be done with the org. and these toxic relationships for good. Honestly, for me, there are no redeemable relationships with my family members or what I considered to be close friends in the org. Also, I do not want to keep living a lie or not being true to myself...to be anything but authentic is really hard on me mentally and emotionally.

Elizabeth B, this is very well said! I shared this with my wife today and it brought a big smile to both of our faces. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is what your doing. Lately we've been agonizing over family relasionships and how they will take it when we tell them. Lately I've been feeling the same way about all of this. Perhaps it is better to just blow the bridge and start fresh. I just despise how this organization creates such a stinky environment for its members and family ties with those that see things differently. Congrats on your freedom!

p.s. Please let us know how this turns out.

16:5. korah lost sight of the fact that jehovah was directing the nation of israel and consequently failed to show loyalty to those whom god was using.

how much wiser it would have been for korah to wait on jehovah for a clearer understanding or for adjustments if those were really needed.

Why do witnesses need the title of pioneer to get 30 hours?

if witnesses believe that we truly are in the end of the end of the last days, and they believe the work they do will really save lives, and most can just make a few adjustments and get 30 hours, why dont they do this more often??

to me if you really care about people you would not wait until you have a special title or badge to wear of look at me im pioneering, you would do the most you can every month and not care about recognition from men.

It's so they can be used as an example prop on the stage to encourage guilt others into spending more time in field circus. Also it's so they don't have to be in the position of revealing confidential information about the number of hours someone puts in order to use them as prop.

i'm thinking they will be force to do a reality check as the clock ticks and things keep going down hill for the corporation they are ceos of.. that means they may come clean or change their delusion as the hard cold facts come knocking at thier door.

or they may hang on tenaciously to the delusion and exibit more and more bizarre reasonings.. i'm thinking this delusion to too hard to get out of and so exspect more bizarre behavior.

The problem is they will never see it that way. Their numbers will continue to swell from 3rd world growth, which will continue to make them feel blessed and legitimized. I think the only thing that will wake them up is a large organized protest right in front of their HQ.
