  What would you do???

  my jw mother in law is in town this week.

  my jw wife and i went to my cousins new years party last night and came home after 2am while my inlaw watched the kids.

  today she gets into a discussion with my wife that i overheard telling her we shouldn't have gotten home so late cuz she assumed her and my wife would go to the meeting today.

  ok jw teaching aside, can you see a time coming when religon will cease to exist?

  As An EXJW Does Christmas Mean Anything To You?

  i've been thinking how correct the witnesses are regarding an aspect of xmas.

  it is totally commercialized and it's big business and materialism.

  having said that, i enjoy giving presents and recieving them.

  i'm thankful that my eyes were finally opened and i saw the jw cult for what it really was.

  i'm thankful that even before that, i was smart enough to rebel and get out.

  GB vote on the blood ban.....when? Where was it reported?

  could someone please help me with a little information please.. who was it who revealled that the governing body had voted on removing the blood transfusion ban but had not received a two thirds majority?.

  i know franz talks about them needing the two thirds maj. to make doctrine but when did they vote on blood ban?.

  i've had in the past studied a little about the bible with jws but have yet decided to be baptised.. i've just read lavenders' moving letter to her son and her love and well being for him is very obvious.

  i do like the bible teachings very much and to this day i'm very interested in the end of the system of things which will very soon come to fruition; i'm a very strong believer, however i must stipulate to all, in retrospect i'm not sinless.

  one of the posters says that jw's ask you to do a liitle bible study with them, attend one of their meetings and when you get baptised you have to do exactly what you are instructed or else.
