  ok ok ok so i stole englishman's phrasing.. one thing i'd been noticing about a certain troll's posts, they seem to center around personal accomplishments.. perhaps, that's not such a bad thing.

  this person obviously isn't getting any encouragement to pursue "selfish desires" by the congregation, therefore he and others feel the need to go bragging.. growing up jw doesn't exactly encourage your creativity; on the contrary it stifles artistic expression and personal growth.. so perhaps there is something that *you* can do very well (or not so well but it's still your thang as jt would say) that is very special.. we all know that dave (seven) is great at art, and tr can pick any damn lock he chooses, but what about the rest of us?.

  I play a mean Sax.

  I have not picked it up in a while but I'm sure I still "got it".

  I used to play night and day until the elders "showed" me how to use my time more productively.

  Ironically, they wanted me to play at every friggin' wedding and "gathering"!

  Exodus told me about an occasion where he went to bethel just recently (about 9 month ago) and was invited to spend the afternoon with 2 bethelites that were in his hall (he was the P.O.at that time).

  After spending about an hour in their room, it finally dawned on Exodus that there were no beds, let alone space to be able to put beds in. So he asked them: "By the way where do you guys sleep?"

  To that they replied while pointing at the floor: "right there".

  Exodus said he flipped. "You don't even have a bed?" "well, said the bethelite, we havent been here long enough to have a big room and we're in line to get one of those fold down closet beds".

  I tell, you it's incedible. The funny thing about it is that they believe that, thats the way Jesus would have done it. Doing with the "bare neccesaties". (and sharing a bathroom in the hallway!!).

  Meanwhile the bigwigs or G.B. had all the luxury items a person can ask for!

  BTW-that was just ONE fold down bed for the TWO of them.... Damn, I wonder what ever bacame of them!

  I have one question about bethel that I never got the answer to:

  Why do you have to abruptly get up toward the end of the meal? I remember working there temporarily and at first it freaked me out when everyone just slid their chairs back and stood up all at once. I just went along with it.

  ive only been on this board for less then a month.

  how sad for me to see that for many people who are disfollewshipped still think in fear and quilt.

  -------people who kill themselves just cant live in the world they created, they are in hell.. many people on this web site are in hell too, they cant go into the real world, and they cant go back to the borg.. my suggestion is since your out right now.. take some time.

  Now that has got to be the stupidest thing that I have ever read (no offense intended) but how can you possibly post a topic and others know that its a post that they don't agree with if they don't read it????

  I'm not guy. 3 strikes for you boy. I'd wish you'd stop trying to analyze everyone. I've been through alot in my young. But believe me I am not hurt by anything the WT has "instilled" in me.

  On the contrary, I appreciate the fact that I was able to learn how through flip through the Bible with ease, give public talks and even give a little 6 minute at a district convention.

  I learned more about the tower and got out...no major time lost for me, Im only 30. Got a good career and beautiful family and thats all I need.

  I come here because it's nice to know others who have the same background...'tis all.

  Did you know that, that is almost exactly what the brother who accused me in a mock JC that was held against me said. He was trying not to get involved with what was going on but he was too wrapped up in it already and to show the C.O. that he was on the orgs. part until death he said:

  I was over a sister-in-laws house when the whole issue came up and her response was the same:

  It does not matter, this is not a perfect Org. it's run by imperfect men, the important thing is to keep faith in that Jehovah will straighten it all out it the proper time".

  I was'nt even about to start. I knew that I would'nt win.
