As Russell himself said ,and I paraphrase " If new light should shine upon the Scriptures for us, it will only add to what we understood before, if it replaces what we understood, the latter was not "Light" or "Truth" at all".

It is of course a Prime Example of their taking Scriptures out of context to use the Proverbs one to explain their constant changes of Doctrine ,the context is plain, it is talking about " The Path of the Righteous One" , and obviously, such a man, as he goes through life, will see the right Path more clearly. The light on the Path gets brighter.

To make more of it than that is not just error, it is deliberate wickedness, a Twisting of Scripture.

This is an excellent example of the way the Org lies by telling a half truth, what is called " speaking out of both sides of your mouth".

Any Baptized JW who "fades" which is what is being described above, WILL BE SHUNNED ! make no mistake about it. Yes its true that two Elders will be sent to visit you and "reach out " to you, they say "to rekindle your spiritual interest", but the reality is those two Elders want to tidy up the books, and will use the visit to try to trap you in your speech, if that doesn't work, to persuade you to write a Letter of Disassociation, then they can say to the Circuit Overseer when he comes along and questions them that they tried, but you were determined to DA.

The statement above by them is for Public consumption, every JW who has been one for a few years knows the reality, and that the statement is a LIE.

If they cannot get you to DA you are STILL SHUNNED, I am living testimony of that !

You can leave, but whatever you do, they have power over you.

i am in conversation with a uk historian regarding some knights templar locations, where jws have built buildings.

i am not - and do not wish to be - a conspiracy theorist, but something has come to light in the uk and i lack the knowledge of knights templar + masons.

To a degree yes, but of course the influence of the Masons in the areas you discuss was insidious and corrupt, and though the movement is waning, it still goes on today too.

The more outrageous Conspiracy theories of today are laughable of course, but the linking of say Russell or Rutherford to the Masons is not too unbelievable, and would be quite damning, but there is simply no solid, or even near satisfactory, evidence for it, or for any links by JW's today.

Just found out Chris Stuckmann is ex-JW

chris stuckmann is a youtube reviewer of films and aspiring film maker himself.. he has over a million subscribers to his channel.

in my ignorance, i've always been a bit jealous of successful youtubers, including stuckmann - y'know, 'they make loads of money, life must be great for them.'.

and then i found out chris stuckmann used to be a jw, was born into it, and walked away from it.. he says in this video that even now, his dad will probably never speak to him again for telling all about his past.. well, all the best, chris stuckmann!.

Thanks for Posting ! I watched all the way through, I am sure many XJW's will have identified with so many of the things done to Chris, we have been there too !

I love the point that he makes, that cannot be stressed enough, the whole JW religion is designed to suck the very soul out of you, they don't want you to be the real you, they want you to be a mindless Drone or Worker Bee for the Org. When I left it took me, as a born in, a good while to become the Real Me, once I had achieved that, I found out what real Happiness was, something I had not experienced in all my years in the Org. They suck all Happiness and Joy out of you, along with your real personality.

He sounds like a great guy, and as I love movies too, I shall be watching his Reviews ! I find a good reviewer can save you from watching Shite, but point you to many a good Movie you could well have missed, keep it up Chris !

There is a Career for you as well LUHE, in Movie and Book Reviews I would think. If you fancy it.

UK 6pm cerfew for all man?!

here in the uk, we've had a recent missing persons case which has turned into a potential murder inquiry.. sarah everard (33), disappeared on wed 3 march in london.

human remains were subsequently found in a wood near ashford, kent, and a met police officer has been arrested on suspicion of murder.. horrible events, and the issue of women feeling unsafe on the streets certainly needs discussing.. but surely not what baroness jones suggested: tabling an amendment for a 6pm curfew for all men.

wtf???.

That silly woman excused her stupidity by saying she said it to spark debate. Yes, well, there was already a HUGE debate going on, thank goodness.

A lot of issues have been raised by the sad and evil murder of Sarah, all related to the evil way women are violated by men, and one issue is the Police and Crown Prosecution Service being remiss in the way cases are handled and Prosecuted ( or not, as is often the case).

But the root cause is that boys are badly brought up, to be Macho, Dominant, and grab what they want. Parents must do the work to raise decent Males. And Society needs to challenge the attitudes that many Males currently have.

taking a close look at the operation of the jws religion you can observe technics of brainwashing orchestrated through the literature the wts publishes for its members such as the watchtower .. everything these men have done had calculating agendas, which were to firstly attract attention to the literature they published, to cultivate power toward themselves, to intentionally take control over people's lives and of course draw in money.. brainwashing (also known as mind control, menticide, coercive persuasion, thought control, thought reform, and re-education) is the concept that the human mind can be altered or controlled by certain psychological techniques.

brainwashing is said to reduce its subjects' ability to think critically or independently,[1] to allow the introduction of new, unwanted thoughts and ideas into their minds,[2] as well as to change their attitudes, values and beliefs.

Spot on OTWO, High Control" cannot be argued with effectively even by a 100% believing J.W , because there are SO many Rules in the Org ! Hundreds at least !

And as you say, if they listen, the Mind Control part is easy to prove.

When I left back in the late 2000's (Noughties) I studied the difference between what was once termed Brain Washing, and turned out to be a number of things, and Mind Control Techniques. I became aware of all the leading language and other methods used by the Org and other similar Cults. And of the B.I.T.E method of course.

This has made me aware in recent times of how the Mind Control method has been used upon the Public in many Nations, from North Korea, right through the United States and United Kingdom, and European Countries as well.

Once you know, you see it in use, and do not fall for it, as we all once did as J.W's !

Are you 'super-straight'? lol

apparently , some bright spark has created a new sexuality - super-straight - and posted it on twitter.

it's a new sexuality that means people who are exclusively attracted to cisgender males or females.

it was made because some people are saying you aren't straight if you don't date transgender people.

I thought I was " Super straight " i.e positively heterosexual, until, on Holiday I met a guy I was super attracted to !

Nothing came of it, I didn't want it to, as I haven't wanted to pursue women that I have been super attracted to in the past , because I know it would cause heartache to my wife, and be basically very selfish.

But can anyone be SURE they are Super Straight ? ( I hate that label " straight" as opposed to what, narrow ?)

T,D said " It's not possible to prove a negative. Burden of proof rests on the claimant. " I said something similar in an earlier Post, but I stress, do NOT waste your time disproving stuff, let them lay out their case, and demolish it.

A word of caution, in my early days, I did this , several times with one guy, and he kept coming back with more nonsense, until I said , " Look , hang on Bro, I demolished your earlier stuff, how much longer shall we go on before the penny drops with you ? " a bit rude perhaps, but it worked, sort of, he never came back. But they tend to do that, ignore the significance of what you have destroyed, and think if they can prove something else is true, that is you sorted, but NO ! the stuff that I have proved wrong, without going further, proves you thick JW's do NOT have the truth !

I would respectfully suggest people check there own ideas before Posting. The ownership of the Chelmsford Site is a doddle to look up, on the Land Registry Site.

Look at the thousands of places with "Temple" in their name and you will usually find a connection to some ancient Temple yes, often older than the Knights Templar.

Sometimes a farm is called Temple Farm because the owner was one Mr Temple. I challenge anyone to deliver proof positive, that stands Scrutiny, that there ever was any direct connection by the JW Org to the Freemasons or the Templars.

Conspiracy Theory grade stuff on here lowers the quality of this Site, and negates its purpose.

You can resign, you can leave, but you can never be totally free of the power they have over you, unless you have no relatives or friends still in the Cult.

They use family and friends to coerce you by the method known as " Shunning", an Un-Christian and Unscriptural practice.
