" none of them were "independent witnesses". And none were eyewitnesses, of course, as the events and persons, including the "Jesus" Figure, are all Fictional in the Gospel of Mark, a Work of Fiction. A Work that is just a Fictional as the one about Apollonius of Tyana.

Thanks for posting PP, it is interesting to see the process at work of adding to the the first Story, and deliberately changing it.

This is a process that started as soon as Genesis was written, and carries on all the way through to "Revelation".

A constant process of Editing, Redacting , inserting many Interpolations etc.

The wilful Ignorance of the Many is a source of great sadness to me, especially that of the J.W's, who have allowed their Minds to be Controlled so that they are afraid to find out the Truth of matters.

But for the few J.W's who DO just make a few clicks with their Mouse to find out about the terrible J.W Org CSA Scandal, it is a HUGE Wake Up Call !

Sorcery = Pharmakeia

rev18:23 '....you deceived the nations with your sorceries'.. the interlinear for sorceries reads pharmakeia.. bible hub has some interesting definitions, i'll try to share screenshots below.

the gist of it is that sorcery involves drugs/medicines/poisons, with or without spells, sorcery is not the same as witchcraft or divination, or white/black magic.

i have long wondered about the connection between the medical/pharmaceutical industry's symbol of the serpent wrapped around a pole/stake, and the use of the word pharmaceuticals/pharmacy.. considering the common use of fluoride in public drinking water, nsaids with side effects such as depression, brain fog, dizziness, and opioids, mrna gene therapy, vaccines and so on, i wonder am i going mad, are these all coincidences??

The linguistic link between matters "spiritual" i.e "pharmakeia"" and Sorcery as P.P. points out is no surprise, but what the G.B & Co ignore, or perhaps do not know, is that the Israelites and later the Jews, right down until Roman Occupation times at least, and maybe until 70 C.E ??? burned Cannabis on the Altar at Temples dedicated to the worship of YHWH/Jehovah.

This was done so that the worshippers would have a spiritual experience which they would feel came from the presence of Yahweh.

So can we expect this sometime soon in a G.B, letter ? :

" After careful study, and prayerful consideration of the matter, in the light of Jehovah's evident approval of this practice, the Holy Spirit has guided us to decide that the smoking of cannabis is permitted by you dear brothers, as long as this is done at a time of Worship".

I bet the GB & Co. probably don't know, or are ignoring, that the Israelites, and later the Jews burned Cannabis on the Altar of the Temple so as to get the worshippers to feel an experience they would ascribe as coming from Jehovah.

What you will never see or hear from the G.B. &Co :

"So on the basis of this clear Scriptural principle brothers, we have decided not to proscribe the smoking of Cannabis in the Kingdom Hall during times of Worship".

Movies about JWs

i have seen many movies or shows that make a passing reference to jehovah's witnesses but very few dwell on jws.

some like a deadly devotion episode i saw once tells a true story but the portal of jws is all wrong.

by movies i am not talking of documentaries.

I just wonder if some of the excellent Novels that some XJW's have written may attract a movie maker one day soon, like the ones by Jodie Chapman and Ali Miller.

Ali's latest does not feature J.W's at all, Jodie's 1st two did, I'm rather hoping that like Ali, she gets away from using the J.W org. as a backdrop, I'm sure her future novels will be even better if she does.

The problem for Movie makers like Daniel who made "Apostasy" is conveying how weird it is to be in the Bubble of the Org. he did a good job though, I heard the audience gasp and say "Disgusting" at what the Elders did to the heroine and her mum. And they laughed at other nonsense, like "Armageddon is coming soon" or something similar.

I wonder how J.W's felt being in a Cinema Audience watching, and hearing what the general Public think of their crazy Religion !

Would you be able to survive a three day Assembly?

the last assembly i attended was over 10 years ago.

the monotone speakers, boring talks, uncomfortable seats, long prayers and nodding off after the lunch break did me in.

i survived the morning sessions, but the afternoon sessions were brutal.

When I was just waking up, mid-2007, I decided not to go to the three day bum-number and bore fest.

My wife was happy, she had hated them for years. So the 2006 one was our last.

We left,for good, a few months later.

So, for 17 years I have been convinced I would not survive a three day J.W Convention/Assembly !

I do not know how PIMOS do it, attend the whole thing. Even back then, many PIMOS used to only turn up for the weekend days, or just the Sunday. One guy, quite a character, used to turn up for a while some days, and then disappear. He always went and did his Work first ! he had a Cleaning Company.

One lovely girl told me years later, she always used to go down the local cafe, have a coffee, and a smoke. Then go for a walk, each day.

When we missed that first one NOBODY NOTICED ! They just assumed we were there ! We had many of our JW family, and also members of our Congregation present there of course.

Maybe something for PIMOS to think about !

) are claiming that we're in the "last days.".

but........bible students/jw's have been spouting this fake message since the 19th century!!!!!!.

Old Phizzy, as DOC says, is very aware of his mortality, but being an atheist, I am not bothered by the thought of it, as theists, and J.W's are strangely, they seem to fear death.

O.K, I'm hoping I have a few more years left perhaps, and as "only the good die young" I should make it to 120, being such a wicked old bastard.

What a way to live your life though ! as J.W's do ! in fear of Armageddon, afraid to leave the Org. in case they "do not make it", so living a life that is not their own, until they die. All for nothing.

I will die, one day, the World will go on, as usual, but the J.W Org. will wither and die, not so very long after I am Pushing up the Daisies.

These are indeed my Last Days, but I enjoy every one of them, I do what I bloody well like, and like what I bloody well do !

I was never truly happy, in a deep lasting way, ever in my life, until I left the Org. and its constant Doom and Gloom, with the Carrot on a Stick of some fanciful deluded idea of "Paradise".
