at what point does a jehovah’s witness cease to be a jehovah’s witness?

what if a witness doesn't believe some of the official teachings of the governing body but remains silent on these subjects to avoid being disfellowshipped?

is he or she an apostate to the faith?

The point at which one becomes an Apostate is when the Elders decide it is so. From the org's point of view.

When two Elders were trying to trap me they repeated the "Loyalty Question " three times in our conversation, put in three different ways, but basically it was did I believe the G.B were god's chosen channel or whatever, I dodged that bullet three times.

But if I had told them my thoughts I would have been DF'd for Apostasy I am sure. And yet they knew nothing of the Doctrines I rejected, and wouldn't have asked.

Beware of Elders bearing gifts, well, pretending to "Shepherd" you !

the twickenham post made me think of this.

i have a few jw family members on facebook and being summertime, their pics of the convention have shown up in my fb feed.

along with their comments about "i wished it would never end" or "what a glorious weekend".

I always ended up feeling gloomy and depressed, and a numb bum coupled with gasping for a Beer didn't help.

The only one that wasn't so much of a problem was Norwich, they parked us away from the Stadium and you had to walk along the canal to the Car Park............ past a lovely Pub. The guys who had really got it sorted had a barge on the canal to stay in, next to the pub !

i'll start by stating the obvious... according to the watchtower, the catholic church is a huge part of babylon the great which is led by satan and his demons.

raymundus martini, a catholic monk (who "represents" babylon the great to some extent), woke up one day in the 13th century and decided to alter yhwh so it can be easily pronounced.

hence the spanish-ish version of yhwh was created... jehova... (sounds something like this in spanish: heh-o-va).

Only one weekly meeting?

new wt october 2023....first an article remembering 1923....they make changes, the had a "prayer, praise and testimony weekly meeting".. after an study article about obey, specially paragraph 18.. i have a wild guess, next year, just one weekly meeting for the borg..
