SON OF GOD
by afriendnexdor inwhen the term son of god is in reference to the person of jesus christ, where in scritures does it refers to an act of creation.
our undertanding of this very important queston, determine our understanding of the person and nature of jehovah himself.
one cannot claim to have a relationship with the lord without fully undestanding the essential nature and personality of this lord.

I don't believe in a trinity but neither do I believe Jesus is an angel (including archangel). He is the only begotten son of God, meaning he was not created. He is a part of God, begotten by God, son of God, which makes him divine. The same likeness of God, just as we are human in the likeness of our parents.

I've noticed these same reactions from atheists towards theists. (Replace God with Science).

i am a regular pioneer in my cong reading crisis of conscience.here goes...
by MsGrowingGirl20 ini'm on page 90 right now...the info is definitely new and gives me a totally diff view as to how i used to think of faithful and discreet slave.
i was thoroughly disgusted with the way the brothers handled the oral sex and leadership problem and the insight on the scriptures book...... still have alot of questions though.

Ms GG20.. I really feel for you. It's less than 3 months since I was where you're at. As you can see from my username, that's how I felt and at times still feel. I feel sick because I feel totally trapped and unable to get out (have an elderly mum who would be devastated if I left). Everyday I have to pretend. Keep my mouth shut and it burns inside. Sometimes I wish I never found out, other times I'm glad I did. I can free my mind and develop my own personal relationship with God and his Son. If you can get out without harming your relationships with family and friends then do it, in your own time. Don't confront anyone with your questions, no one will even 'hear' what you're saying. If you want to let it all out talk to others that completely understand you.

Is it possible to be friends with a devout Jehovah's Witness?
by losthobbit injust wondering if it's possible for a non-religious person like me to be friends with a devout jehovah's witness.
as i understand they don't like to mix with us lower life forms.
any thoughts?.

I never made any efforts to change them or force my ideas on them. I accepted them for who and what they were/are as they did/do me. They have been close friends for years now.

It's 'The Truth about the Truth' Losthobbit.. I'm not sure if I considered myself devout. I believed in it, believed it was God's organisation for all my life. (no longer). But my husband always called me a bit of a rebel because I didn't like being told what to do if it didn't make sense. I could never understand why I couldn't have nice decent friends on the 'outside'. It made no sense, so I rebelled against it and found some beautiful friends. :)

Well.. I must never have been a 'devout' JW then, even before learning TTATT because I had/have loads of non JW friends and have made some very close friendships with a few of them over the years. I value these friendships very much and they've helped me through some rough patches. In fact some of them have been closer to me than anyone in my congregation (expect for a couple).

Mentally Diseased Apostates to Survive Armageddon! - The WT says so!!!
by 00DAD inas i'm sure we all know by now, the july 15, 2011 watchtower branded "apostates" as "mentally diseased" (p. 16, para.
but never fear, because--also according to the wtbts--jehovah will take that into account at armageddon.
the wt says so, so it must be true!
