oompa and myself

hey everyone.. i m sitting here with tears in my eyes.

you just can t imagine what i m going through richt now.

there are no words to describe it!.

Dear Varian, I really feel for you. Sometimes we can have so many things in our life that should make us happy but somehow it eludes us. Could you perhaps seek some professional help of some kind. Maybe talk to a councellor or just someone who will listen to you and help you come to some kind of resolution? Please don't think about joining Oompa, life is precious and even if it doesn't seem like it right now, things could change for the better very quickly. Don't give up!!

SAD news about OOMPA......

our friend, oompa, has passed away.

just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

Can't stop crying over poor Oompa... Eric... this is hitting me hard...not just someone on some cyber forum... he was a real person... a real man... with parents... children.. people who loved him... broken because he couldn't take any more...

Poor man.. it's heartbreaking... can't stop thinking about him...

That obituary is heartbreaking. Heartbreaking in it's 'nothingness'. Heartbreaking in all the things it doesn't say.

Whether we knew him personally or simply from coming across him on here, he was 'one of us'. We understand his pain, his despair, his isolation. We know why he did it. We know what made him do it.

We may have only known him very briefly but we will never forget him.

i've already seen that debunked.. i am quite aware of the fact that the only evidence of jesus comes from his own followers who didn't even bother to write down his life for decades after jesus "died.

What about 'Antiquities of the Jews' by Josephus?

Book 20 chapter 9 verse 1 and Book 18 chapter 3 verse 3. Both instances mention Jesus and calls him 'the Christ'.

Feel so sad.. I've not been here long but long enough to get to know many from their posts. 'OOMPA' always made me smile with his humour but I could sense his pain beneath his words.

All JWs can see are angry negative apostates... these are real people, with real pain, real despair.... some like oompa are just hurting too bad to be able to cope with it.

Sending all my love to his family and friends.

Help me wake up my friends please!

i know that this may be impossible and will surely get me a judicial comittee but i'm tired of keeping mum about how i feel.

so, i'm going to e-mail my two friends (two women under 35 who both got baptised within the last five years and one married a brother this year.they're both pioneers) and tell them what's bothering me and ttatt.. i'm going to do it tomorrow night.

i have some points already but i may have left out some.

The trouble with this is that they will immediately put up the drawbidge. If I were you I would have a listen to all of 'RayPublisher's' videos again and pick out some of the points he made in his JC. Especially using the society's own literature against itself as they have no answers to that. Put it all in a form of questions... as if you've only just started pondering about it. Don't attack anything as they'll just stop reading. Just pick out one or two points and see what they have to say about it.
