Another non-JW reacts to Sparlock video

and two weeks ago i highlighted another video where sparlock helped an ex-mormon.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmesmlhydru.

though it still depresses me to think of all the young ones (including my own relatives) falling under the influence of this dangerous piece of propaganda, it's at least some small comfort that the sparlock video is backfiring so dramatically among thinking non-jws.. .

I've been reading the Brock Talon ('LivingtheDream' on here) book 'Journey to God's House' and there's a really funny chapter in there called 'Seven Brides for seven Sorcerers'. It's starts out that the GB decide the Bethelites could have a 'movie nght'. The GB choosing the movie. First night it was the musical 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers'. Next night it was Disney's Fantasia.... with the piece 'The Socerer's Apprentice' in it. Then Mickey Mouse starts performing all his 'magic'...... Brock writes...

"Still, given all that, it did not stop many in attendance from actually walking out of the movie! Yes, folks, you heard me right, the GB got a taste of their own medicine when they found out that their own subjects were more pious, more holy and more spiritual than they were. These subjects simply wouldn't watch this GB sanctioned, personally hand-picked movie. This was all due to a cartoon mouse that pretended to do magic for a few minutes in an obvious flight of fantasy that Walt Disney was beloved for."

LOL!! If anyone hasn't read this book, it's a must!!

we had to go off grid for a time, time and half a time as we thought we had been outed.

fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.

i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

i thought of posting this on an ongoing thread regarding proof of noahs flood by poster *lost*, but i think a separate thread is needed.

this is why.. first my disclaimer.

this thread is a theory since so many people love the theory and so as not to hurt feelings and insult anyone, this is only a theory.. my personal observation is this, as long as you bash watchtower all is ok. as soon as you try to present any resemblance of christianity or any belief in the bible, such as the flood, you are personally bashed.

Well, I'm a believer in God still and I don't view Cofty as a bully at all. Although I don't agree with everything he says he has made some excellent threads and given a lot of food for thought.

I've got to say though I thought the last bit was way below the belt. I think you should apologise for that.

Chemical warfare in Syria-can man be saved?

the images on the news after the town in damascus was attached with a chemical weapon was incredibly disturbing.

babies dying, people suffocating, it was man at his worst.. can man be saved?

it seems the entire world is implicated in this conflict.

I was really upset by it, it was extremely distressing to see. However I believe that for every person that causes harm to others there are a hundred more who show kindness and caring. I really think that it outweighs all the terrible things shown in the news.

i am back from bakersfield and i can say it was the best district convention ever!

the end is coming soon, a few of the annointed were speaking about 2014 possibly being the year that jehovah would destroy all the hateful apostates!

the focus of this convention was not on love or the message of the good news of the kingdom.

The description given at our convention of apostates was of a 'vile' half eaten mouse that his cat dropped at his feet on his kitchen floor.... nice.

Excuse needed to get out of talk

i work with the school overseer so he'll be with me all day before the meeting...so being 'sick' isn't an option.

this really isn't like me to weasel my way out of something....but i've been ridiculously depressed lately and honestly i just don't have it in me to do anything let alone put a talk together.

everytime i do one it takes allot out of me and let's just say the well is pretty dry.

I told my school overseer that I didn't feel able to do the talk, I was having increasing anxiety over them, handed him the talk slip back that he'd just given me and asked if if he'd take me off the school. He looked surprised but took it and accepted what I said and I've never been bothered since. Just be upfront and straight. You don't want to do it and that's it.

Last night the one cool elder calls me

i figured he was going to arrange the committee and try to get me kicked out after the whole "big pile of books" labelled "take this shit".. well his call made me realize that more and more people ... elders included no longer take this religion seriously.

after he told me he heard what happened he actually laughed and said i would never expect that.

he then told me that it is apparent that i no longer want to be connected to the organization.

I have friends that I continue to be amazed over by what they say and do. Friends I thought loved being 'in'. It seems that they are all getting tired of it all.
