As for the preaching work, there are at least a million christians in China... how many are JWs? There are over 2 and a half million christians in Pakistan, how many are JWs?

Dream or Nightmare?
by compound complex ini have reached a frontier dreamt about as a child -- the outer reaches of a vast realm under stars.. though an imaginative and inquisitive lad, my forward-looking mind and open heart could never have conjured up this fabulous, this infinite unreality into which i have been catapulted.
what may appear a distortion of my former reality i tentatively accept as a cosmic tableau that threatens both to fascinate and crush my frail, puny body and spirit.
i am unable to comprehend what i gaze upon with frightened, delicious terror.. my recent escape from lunaria was of sheer necessity: my people have been overtaken by a scorpion race of alien malefactors whose intent toward us was not one of beneficient intervention but that of conquest.

Cantleave, believers or not, we all care about our planet. I give to several charities that do things like protect the environment, plant trees, save habitats, birds, animals etc and feel quite passionately about it. We've also planted several trees in our garden and are creating a mini wildlife habitat. It may not be much but it's my little bit. Although I still believe in God I'm not about to throw my hands up in the air and do nothing while I'm living on this planet.

Coco.. you're such a deep thinker! Life is scary and the unknown even scarier. Continue believing in the dreams... let the nightmares pass...

Do you make your own soup?
by compound complex ingreetings, soup lovers:.
i have a huge kitchen at my disposal (not my own); vegetables, cans of this and that and spices are scattered about, prepared to go into a cauldron of minestrone i started a few days ago.
i'm preparing ahead so as to freeze the leftovers to heat up later at home over my hotplate.. nothing like a 6-burner gas range to simmer over!.

I use the left over chicken carcass from a roast and boil it with some added herbs and chicken stock cube for a couple of hours till all the meat drops off. I strain it out and pick out all the bones, gristle etc leaving the meat and the stock, then I cook chopped up vegetables together with the meat and stock and finally add thickening agent. It's delicious!

Conversation I had with Elder, "It's Ok To Lie If they don't deserve the truth!" Who created this dogma?
by AuntConnie inwhat is the origin of "theocratic warfare" and jehovah's witnesses being able to freely life if they feel it's for the "greater good" of the watchtower?
i asked the elder if jesus christ ever lied, he said "yes, jesus refused to answer questions from people!
" can you show me where this is in the bible?

John 7:1-10..... Jesus told his brothers that he wasn't going up to Jerusalem, when really he was. He went up in secret after he'd told them he wasn't going.

Just this simple fact of life is proof of God....
by EndofMysteries ini'll be curious for any alternative plausible explanations for this...... .
every lifeform on earth, humans, plants, bacteria, cells, anything with life originated with other life.
all trees come from living seeds from other trees, etc.

What I like to read is a good strong debate with questions, reasonings, arguements etc with mutual respect shown on both sides. I am far more likely to take on board what everyone says and think about things myself.
What I hate to see is that kind of debate being spoiled by the few that decide hurling insults is easier than reasoning something out. Resorting to you're ...'stupid, ignorant, deluded' or you're.. 'arrogant, egotistical, opinionated'.... switches me right off and I'm sure many others feel the same way.

Who Really Is The Faithful Slave? Really? W-7/15/2013
by apocalypse inwho really is the faithful slave?
i have, for some time, related to my family the underlying reason why the governors at headquarters (pg22p10) say what they say & do what they do.
simply put, they need to make themselves big.
