What about all the scriptures that speak of a 'new heavens' and a 'new earth', Satan being bound for a thousand years, then coming to his end. The end of death.. these things haven't happened yet so they must be future.

What Scriptural Support Is There For Believing in Second/Greater Fulfillments of Bible Prophecy?
by JWB inwhat scriptural support is there for believing in second/greater fulfillments of bible prophecy?.
this is a genuine equiry into where the idea of second/greater fulfillments of bible prophecy originated.
does it have definite scriptural support or is it simply an extra-biblical religious device thought up to try to make prophecies appear relevant to the modern age?

Ridiculous reasons that "this MUST be the truth"!!!
by stillstuckcruz inever since i began researching about mind control, the organization, etc....i've really been paying attention to the actions and comments of the members of the congregation.
i've been noticing how so many people(usually the sisters) make up such ludicrous statements of how "this must be the truth"!.
for instance, the other day a brother at our hall who is only his early 40's was admitted to the hospital because of a bad infection.

Only ones who makes the name of God known. I always thought that was a good one, it's true isn't it?
Well, it seems to me that all it's done is make the name of Jesus less known. He only ever called God 'Father'. By diminishing Jesus they've managed to insert themselves (the GB) into the place that Jesus was pushed out of. And the Organisation belongs to Jehovah. Anyone going against 'his' organisation is going against him!

Hi Free.. I'm in a similar position, family all in, husband an elder. I'm sticking with it. I'm at home right now while they are all at the meeting. I try to miss as many as I can get away with. No one can tell you what you should do, it's a very personal decision and only you know what is right for you. My only advice would be to take it slowly and carefully. Don't burn any bridges with your family until you are sure what it is you want.

Classic Doublespeak--- "You must do your own thinking; let the WTS tell you how"
by pharmer ineducation teaches you how to think.propagandists tell you what to think.true educators present all sides of an issue and encourage discussion.
propagandists hammer hard on their view and discourage discussion.many times their true motives are hidden.
they sift the facts, tell the favorable ones and conceal the others.

THANK YOU Steven Unthank
by cedars inohiocowboy has just posted this information on the two other threads dealing with the sudden collapse of the unthank cases.. i don't know steven unthank, but i just want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for having the courage against overwhelming odds to try and bring the watch tower society to justice over their deplorable neglect when it comes to protecting children from abuse and molestation.. steven is a man of justice and integrity who i deeply admire.
his actions will never be forgotten, and i only hope he can find it within himself to continue his work in whatever avenue may become available in the future.. they have won this battle, but they can never win the war.. .
cedars.

Me too, I was shocked by the picture (I thought it was one of the children). At the end of the day it's them that need protecting and it seems that Mr. Unthank has put a lot of time, money and emotional energy into something that 99% of us wouldn't have the bottle to do.

My son is a pioneer, doing a part time dead end job so he can 'serve Jehovah'... it would take him 6 months to earn what they spend on this in one evening... makes me feel physically sick.

A Born ins challenge to develop a "post cult" personality.
by stuckinamovement ina born ins challenge to develop a post cult personality.. mentally leaving the organization can be traumatic for a number of reasons.
one of the biggest challenges for born-ins in finding their pre cult personality is that our entire personalities are based on the religion.
there is no such thing as a pre cult personality for us.

What I want to know SIAM is how do we go about doing it? Especially when you're in your 'senior' years and everyone you know is 'in it'. How can you go about finding your real self? I was born and brought up a JW. pioneered straight from school, got married, had kids (and dead end jobs) and now have a grandchild... so.. what do I do next and how??? Is it just a waste of time even attempting it at this time of life?
And I'm sure I'm not the only one asking this...
