It's interesting that JWs believe they are the only ones preaching the Good News (well, maybe their style of it they are). In China Christianity is spreading rapidly. There's supposed to be over 100,000,000. I wonder how many of those are JWs?

I'm an elder's wife and I know how it is although never had it as bad as you LITS ((((hug)))). Trouble is everyone thinks the elder's wives have it easy. One of the things that's made it easy for me to see through it all is because of being an elder's wife. I've been one for 25 years now, all through having growing kids, me having to do most of the work at bringing them up. Always having to come 2nd to the congregation. Sisters that needed my husband all the time, judicial cases that went on for months and months, never seeing him at home and me spending hours and hours alone. Trouble is he's a 'good' elder and everyone wants him, he's the one they all go to. Not so good for me though. He ended up taking a year out, then went back but now he says 'no' a lot more and things are better.
Believe me when I see the word 'elderette' on here it makes me want to scream...

Youngsters in the 'world' are always portrayed drinking, smoking, letching, taking drugs, pointing a gun, a snarl on their face or their hands wrapped round someone's neck....
whereas JWs are the epitome of clean wholesome living, girl or boy next door type, sitting round in a circle playing guitar...

The best ex-JW books - and what made them unique...
by cedars inat some point in my life, i would really like to write a book about my jw experience and jw teachings in general.
however, if i did, i would preferably like to write from a unique angle that makes the book a little different from the many others out there.
i can imagine some being quite self-indulgent, and i would want to avoid that wherever possible.. i must confess, due to a variety of circumstances i am not well read when it comes to all the various ex-jw books out there.

by tornapart inin our last ca it was said from the platform that the gb has said we shouldn't buy food that is only produced at certain times of the year.
although not specified i imagine they meant turkeys, christmas puddings, easter eggs, hot cross buns etc.
the reasoning that it's attached specifically to pagan festivals.
