  newbie here - i need advice

  hello, i've been lurking in this forums for a while but its only now that i've created an account.

  i'm an inactive jw, been in and out sporidically these past few years, but its only these recent months after reading crisis of conscience and christian freedom that i think i will never go back there again.. the reason i've been inactive primarily is because i have issues regarding masturbation and porn.

  my conscience cannot allow to continue preaching while i continously being overcome by these habits myself.

  Welcome kassad84. The guilt you feel is the guilt that's been piled on you by the WT not by God. God knows that we sin and fall short all the time. Paul called himself 'a miserable man' because he couldn't do what he wanted to do and he did what he didn't want to do. It's called human nature. How does God feel about it? What about the time when the Jews wanted to stone the woman for adultery? Jesus told them whoever was without sin to cast the first stone. They couldn't do it.. he knew they were all sinners. What about Jesus parable of the prodigal son? When the son came home his father never even waited to find out if his son was 'repentant'.. he just went to him with open arms. The very fact that Jesus came to earth to give his life as a ransom shows how he and his Father feel. They KNOW we cannot go through life without sinning. Once we understand that we can feel love for them and not fear. That love then grows and with it the desire inside us grows towards NOT sinning. But each time we do we know we have Jesus atoning sacrifice to cover those sins.

  Feelings of guilt can cause us to give up on God and Christ, they don't want that at all. They love you and want you to succeed. They speak to us through the Bible. The WT speaks through words of men.

  I bought a beautiful little vintage gucci handbag (as we call it in UK) off ebay. Hand held, beige croc leather. Brass trimmings and logo. Really classy and a ridiculous rock bottom price. I just adore it.

  I don't think the R&F are going to have any problem swallowing this. Most of them already think of the GB being the FDS anyway. As far as they are concerned 'what's new'?

  Thanks Mrs C and thanks to mr C for writing it. I don't think the majority of the R&F will have a problem accepting this 'new light'. I think many of them won't even notice a difference.. It's sickening..

  I think it may have been set in motion several months ago. When they said that they don't know the number of the anointed, nor did they need to know.

  I've also noticed that whenever JWs talk about the FDS they are almost always referring to the GB. It seems to me that it won't take much persuading for the R&F to accept it withoout question...
