any insight on this when compared to 1 Thess 4:13-17?

How do I tell my husband?

i'm a born in, baptized as a young teenager, whole family is jw.

i just recently woke up after the new understanding of the fds was announced and it seemed to me to smack of power-grabbing.

i started looking at all the websites we're not supposed to, and now i know why.

Oy, this is not going to be easy. We went out to dinner tonight, and he could read me like a book and knew something was wrong. I tried to keep it nonchalant but it didn't end well. Now we have a renewed commitment to be regular at meetings and FS. Sigh.

what kind of thinker is your husband? does he watch documentaries and science shows or is he all about Seinfeld and 2-1/2 men?

If he's a science documentary kind of guy then ask him about dinosaurs. If the flood pushed up all the mountains then how did Noah even recognize that he was on Mt. Aararat? How would he have recognized anything about he was?

If the flood killed the dinosaurs then every fossil ever found existed only 4000 years ago. Why did Noah not save 2 of every dinosaur? Why are they not even mentioned in scripture? Why did Jehovah create giant flesh eating monsters when all life lived in the perfect garden of eden?

Why is it we can extract good DNA from animals and humans that have been dead for 4000 years but dino DNA is all fragmented and decayed? DNA is supposed to be good up to 100,000 years before its decayed. Why are only dino's affected by this and not 4000 year old mummies and other animals?

Why do so many people say that 607 BCE is not the destruction of Jerusalem by Babylon when the Society KNOWS it IS 607?

Sometimes these simple questions start the ball rolling. Don't expound these, just ask the question and change the subject.

If he is a Seinfeld / 2-1/2 men kind of guy then when you find somehting that works can you tell me???

Seven Thousand Year Creative Day still being taught (as of 2005)

liverance) teaching a class on chronology.. the photo appears in a blog entry dated 5-21-2005.. note the "6,000" and "1,000" periods in the timeline drawn on the whiteboard.. i thought the 7,000 year creative day was no longer taught, but apparently it still is at gilead, at least in the year 2005.. anyone handling these machines for business knows that a fee can be charged to the customer which goes to the business itself. This small 15 cent (or so) fee is usually just accepted and on goes the transaction.

I am sure the WTS has somehow used this to its advantage

Is a slow fade being selfish when you have kids?

so i got some great advice to take things very slowly with the husband and kids in order to be able to fade and still maintain contact with my parents and siblings.

but today i got a call from my son's teacher that he was having a meltdown because he was worried about all his friends and teachers being destroyed at armageddon.... first i felt like such a schmuck for ever having allowed that thought to enter my son's head, then i thought, is it psychological torture for me not to immediately correct the situation?

i had a long talk with him about how god is perfectly just and full of love and he didn't have to worry about that at all, but it still seemed lukewarm.

If 1914 is wrong then how is it that it was such a landmark year?

this is the question that came up in my mind.

now dont get me wrong i know the dates from 607 - 1914 are rubbish, but how would you explain to a witness when they will automatically say, look at the momentus year 1914 was.

that is evidence enough that 607 is correct!.

was 1939 not "momentous"? how about 1812? There have been lots of wars, why is 1914 set apart?

What about 1799? this was prophesied to be the beginning of the last days and many (including Russell) took this to be proof that prophesy was correct.

Is the Revelation Grand Climax book in print anymore?

i watched a couple daniel clark videos on youtube (simple but interesting btw) and he mentioned the revelation book is no longer in print.. is that true??

what other books did we grow up with that are out of print?.

truth booklive forever book(old) united in worship(old) evolution/creation bookthose seem to be the biggies.
