  i was searching online when i came across these headlines.

  early reports say that as many as 27 jws died in a bus crash in ecuador while on their way to a meeting a couple of weeks ago.

  i was 25 years a congregation member; ten years an elder; all told, up to 18 years an appointed man; a decade or so as a full-time minister; assembly speaker, with the pinnacle giving the public discourse at a district convention.. .

  i stopped being an active member of the congregation in november 2010, but it had been brewing for several years, with the customary gradual drifting away - all the necessary mental gymnastics as my spiritual views changed and doubts set in; quitting the theocratic ministry school; ceasing to answer; sitting quietly off to the side.

  i think the straw that broke the camels back was when family worship inevitably became family worship.

  Vehicle registration laws in your state, especially western states

  here in california, i have to get a smog, which is an emissions test in order to register my vehicle.

  does your state require an emissions test?

  a regular inspection of the vehicle, or none?

  I live in Idaho too .. ada and canyon counties have emmissions .. where are you in the state... maksym

  prior canyon county didn't .. but now they do it is twenty minutes away and there is no visible gaps anymore between the two, and everyone in canyon county drives into boise to work.. so it was much needed... the air quality still isn't great here at times

  registration has gone up quite a bit recently too..

  I was born in....... didn't get a collge education... or going into millitary service... instead of field service, which by the way I remember being told repeatedly, that know one would ever regret ... wasting your youth in Jehovah's Watchtower service...

  Some of the things I've said to people regarding their faith...or their certain fate...

  I regret that I never really have had a dream, of my own ... That my lifes ben on hold for nothing....

  Theists, why does God allow suffering..

  ..specifically, the suffering of animals.

  you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.

  i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.

  What does the Bible say on the matter? .... let's consult the Watchtower to find out.....

  why is no one ever concerned about plant life ... suffering droughts and what not... and being eating ...

  I remember when I was young, Mom saying all life as we know it comes from other life.. so therefore there has to be a GOD .. thats the proof...

  and now I'm thinking all life is sustained by the death of other life... so what does that prove...
