  i was talking to my jw daughter the other day and she surprisingly asked me what i believe now.

  i stated i am now atheist and my reasons.

  among other things she asked 'what is the purpose of life, then?

  In case you didn't know how he died or who he was ..

  Turing's homosexuality resulted in a criminal prosecution in 1952, when homosexual acts were still illegal in the United Kingdom. He accepted treatment with female hormones (chemical castration) as an alternative to prison. Turing died in 1954, just over two weeks before his 42nd birthday, from cyanide poisoning. An inquest determined that his death was suicide; his mother and some others believed his death was accidental. On 10 September 2009, following an Internet campaign, British Prime MinisterGordon Brown made an official public apology on behalf of the British government for "the appalling way he was treated." As of May 2012, a private member's bill was put before the House of Lords which would grant Turing a statutory pardon if enacted

  ...as far as I know God doesn't grant pardons to suicide.. especially atheist ones

  sad 42 is to young to die .. especially if it's because it's illegal to be who you are

  i am going to be unplugged while i gallivant around europe for a while, which means there will be one person short of holding up the conservative banner on this site.

  so you can all pile on your leftist views of society, obama, health care, benghazi, irs, union thugery, socialism, redistribution of wealth, racism, sexism, gay marriage, right wing conspiracies, talk radio, fox news, wall street, the national debt, the educational system without my counterbalancing your neurotic views.

  The purchase taxes on a Ferrari in these countries is about equal to the price of the car.

  A person who can afford a Ferrari... wouldn't bat an eye at the price.... and.... wouldn't want to drive on sub par roadways.. so I only see that as a win win for a true driving enthusiast...

  oh and while your gone think of an answer for this.. when I saw this meme, I thought of you since your always bagging on the poor .. getting hand outs .. bringing this country down

  so the question is.. is who is really getting the hand out? Who is benefiting from the government the most Walmart for having tax payers feed their employees .. or the employees mooching off the government because their job doesn't pay enough to eat!!

  question: how does the leadership of jehovah's witnesses instruct its members to prepare for the eventual elder care of its members?.

  answer: it pretends it will never happen!.

  is this responsible leadership or some kind of cognitive dissonant malfeasance?.

  were friendships in other congregations discouraged?

  i had a good friend with a lot of common interests but he was in a congregation about 40 miles away.

  we did a lot together with both of our families.

  until we had a local needs part about association with ones not in our own congregation.

  yes and so was switching congregations... but oddly enough the only anointed person I ever knew lived right down the street .. but went to the other congregation at our hall.. I guess she didn't care to much for jehovahs arrangments.. lol
