So I was outside today cleaning the inside of my car and up stroll two jw's. They have been around here a LOT the past couple of weeks. I wonder WHY! LOL Anyways I don't know either of these two clowns and they ask how I am and I said not to ask. They laughed and one of them started in about how they were talking to my neighbors about a bible topic. I remained silent and continued to spritz armor all on my dashboard. I listened quietly as they went on about how short the time must be considering world events blah blah blah. I told them I was not interested in hearing any more. The younger guy asked all giddy and weird if I wanted to live in a paradise earth with no evil around. And I told him, "Not if I have to live with a bunch of Jehovah's Witnesses." LMAO! I totally stole that from a comedian I saw on tv years ago but you should have seen their faces. They walked away....LOL

1975 was approaching and for years the society demanded the belief that god instructed these men of bethel to declare 1975 as the date for the end.

they talked about it in conventions.

they supported it in many of their publications.

Let them go to hell in their own way. I HATE what they did to my folks. Scaring them about 75 and us little kids would DIE if they were not IN the org. Water under the bridge for us I guess. All we can do is point people at the information and let them decide. Lead the horse to water but you can't make it drink.

How Will the Society React to the Hundred Year Anniversary of 1914?

it's only a couple of years away now and what a headache it must present to the gb - providing they have given it much thought already.

there probably is no elegant way of presenting the hundred year long failure of the end to come; the fact that the "short period of time" of satan being cast down to the earth has now stretched beyond any credibility.

but they have to deal with it one way or another.

it seems like a young person who was insulted by a fellow jw made a video about burning her and the rest of the jw's in the kingdom hall.

I need your advise))

me and my friends have already organized "association of former jehovahs witnesses.".

we want to stand for rights of ex-jw's, and those who are still suffer in organization and almost blind.. now we make some interviews on a television, take part in some lectures about how dangerous jw could be, keep in touch with "worldly" relatives, who want to save their family members.... in russia we still dont have a kind of psychological help, hotline or office.

we planning to establish this.

apologies if this has been discussed before, but i am really very interested in finding out why members here left their congregations for lives away from jw?.

was there a "lightbulb" moment where you just woke up one day and realised that you had been brainwashed?

or a slow realisation over time?

My username is short for TIRED OF THE HYPOCRISY.

Over time I got so fed up I couldn't go to service and tell people about the loving and kind brotherhood that did not exist so I stopped going to service. After awhile I got sick of hearing the same old tripe over and over again and no one living it. I saw hypocrisy and back biting and real sick minds at work so I got to a point where I could not even set foot in a kh. I try hard to not go off on my wife's family but there is one uncle who lives across the street that tasks me. The other dfay I not only called him Count DRUNKula to his face but also lit him up about the memorial being unnecessary since they say that Christ returned in 1914. I try to love everyone but this guy is a total jerk and so I avoid him when I can....
