My first thought was that little kids will be expected to watch this too. My nieces are 4-12yo, this’ll terrify them.
But then I guess that’s their aim.
if you haven't seen it already, skip to 1:14:30 in lloyds video and watch the craziness unfold.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2y7f7-k5wo.
i'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.. they're digging themselves a great hole here, in about 30 years time they'll be claiming this video was a mere "speculation" and that "some people" got the wrong ideas..

i swear if i'd seen this video in my youth i likely would never have got baptized.
So, where does Love fit into this picture?
Not the kind of love most of us encounter which is self-serving or manipulative; but True Love without strings or judgment?
We all know we want it. We seem to be wired for it. Yet, it never seems to find its way into such discussion
One could argue that the thing we call "love" has an evolutionary benefit to our species. The assurance that I'm going to protect my young and ensure my genes are passed on. It sounds cold, but that's one explanation. Sometimes there isn't a reason for anything. I cant being myself to say "love exists, therefore god".

I swear if I'd seen this video in my youth I likely would never have got baptized. Living authentically is the way to go. I needed to hear this years ago!
since i woke up and left i've been contacted by others i knew from my youth who've also left the cult.
also people around the world on facebook adding me out of the blue because we have mutual friends and they occasionally ask me stuff or share their story.. what i've noticed in the vast majority of cases, is that people are waking up not because of the arc or doctrine but apathy.
active jws are becoming less and less interested, less and less bothered.
I think this is why the org has shifted from "we're the happiest people on earth" to just feeding them paranoia about armageddon being "imminent" (wasn't it always?). Because they're not happy. And it's hard to pretend that you are happy nowadays in the org. Depression is now "to be expected" in "this system".
i've been having a conversation with a young jw on twitter and have, once again, come up against beliefs that do not match up with official watchtower doctrine.
if you like you can read the full thread here (you'll need to click on some comments to open it all up).. anyway the upshot is that this jw, and many like her, believe that only truly wicked people will be killed at armageddon - not innocent babies and children or anyone who "didn't know better" perhaps because they didn't get a witness.
it's as though they cannot accept the obvious injustice of jehovah's morality.. this jw teenager believes that all these non-jw's who survive armageddon will get their chance to prove their loyalty during the 1000 year reign of christ - again, not a watchtower teaching.. i don't really have a question to ask, this is just an observation.
I actually believed the same when I was a member. It wasn't until I was waking up that it was pointed out to me on JWFacts.
I do think that most JWs still think this because lately the literature doesn't come out and so it so clearly. When in doubt, they refer to their website's FAQ which tiptoes around the issue and doesn't give a straight answer, instead explaining that there will be "worldly" people resurrected in the new system.

Notice the question is worded about being "saved" not surviving Armageddon.
recently, i wrote a sister, my bible study conductor, an email just telling her that i thought of her, and i thanked her for being a part of some milestones in my life many many years ago.
(for those who are reading my post for the first time, i was a very impressionable teenager at that time and i had the chance to live in their country for a while, spent much time with her, got to know her way of living, and essentially she became my life's mentor.
closer to me than family.
I think would be very happy if I heard those words from you...
She wants you to say something to make her happy. How come she cant be happy regardless of what you say?
I'd bin her off.
evening again.... i know this is my second part today but i've just been thinking.... possibly a stupid question, so don't laugh haha!.
can someone explain the difference between disassociation and disfellowshipping?.
never really heard of disassociation before if i'm totally honest!.
Exactly... almost sounds like a cult or something doesn’t it?

"Other sheep"
Looking back at it now, how derogatory to allow ourselves to be called sheep. A farm animal that's fleeced and lead around.
if you haven’t seen these two videos yet, you need to.
absolutely outstanding work by theramin trees explaining and breaking down the arc:.

I couldn't believe the elders being called to the stand hadn't even bothered to follow to proceedings of the investigation. If it were me being called to court for something so serious you can guarantee I'd have read everything and watched everything even taking notes.
But then, I actually care about the welfare of children.
