  i am currently an skeptic, but i have to admit that i can't assure that all the stuff of early christianity was false.. for instance, we know that the genuine letters of paul were written before the destruction of jerusalem.

  so, paul affirmed that jesus resurrected, though he was not there when it supposedly happened.

  but, if jesus did not resurrect, why didn't the jews expose this falsehood?.

  I had an encounter today...

  so, i had an unexpected encounter with a jw today.

  she was the caregiver who came to work to relieve me and she pulled out a jw.org tract and i told her i knew all about it because my family were part of it and i see it everywhere on their fb.

  i, without thinking about the consequences, told her that i used to be one and now go to a baptist church.

  I kept bringing Jesus up as the only way to salvation. And she kept pushing him aside and I kept mentioning that that is the most important thing and he shouldn't be pushed aside..... But she would laugh at me and say "WOOOW" I can't believe you knew the truth (which I quickly said Jesus is the truth)

  Wow, that is powerful. DO NOT underestimate the seeds you plant. The way the kingdom of God works - is that you do not get confirmation on the effects of your acts of obedience most of the time.

  I am where I am today because a lady at a door took the time to expalin to me that Christians believe in a paradise earth nearly the same as the Watchtower teaches. After she told me that, and after I brought up Christmas and a couple other ridiculous things, I realized that I was just attacking a woman who believed virtually the same thing I did, minus the ORG and plus Jesus. I didn't have a reason for going door to door anymore if Christians already new about the paradise earth. I walked away from that door feeling shame for the first time, as a Watchtower water boy.

  I'll never forget that woman, and she may even feel she has failed in some way as a Christian. Isn't that funny?

  Low Disk Space Persists

  my c drive is running out of space.

  and to my surprise the low disk space problem persists after i free up disk space on my computer.

  i uninstalled a lot of programs.i thought that i have free space on my c drive.

  I know what you mean.... these low flying space disks seem to be the rage almost every night on the Discovery chanel. Why do they persist?

  as i was growing up in a household with my grandparents, i heard a certain phrase hundreds of times, "well, you know what they say .

  and i wondered: "who are "they"?.

  it was my first encounter with shapeless, formless, invisible, abstract, non-descript, and anonymous authority.. the premise seemed to say:.

  It's been a long time....

  long time, no posts.... .

  those that remember me, well, i'm doing ok, so far.. those that remember my wife, she passed away as of june 26th this year after a long battle with various health issues for the past 6 years.. thought i'd drop a note to say hello to everyone that knew me.. .

  Does this apply to "the truth about the truth"? So is it an estimate about the truth? And another thing while my head is spinning - If there is no "Truth", then that statement cannot be true .... meaning that truth does exist? Right? Ohhh the pain of it all.

  evil is opposite of live, means not really living, but wasting!

  if you are in harmony with yourself, fellow-humans and nature (and god if you believe in such an entity), then you feel light, at ease, hence you can say you are really living.. on the contrary, if you are not in harmony with yourself, fellow-humans and nature (and god), then you feel burdened, at dis-ease, draining energy, hence you can say you are not really living, but wasting your lifesomething which the biblical word for evil really means.compare mathew 7:17 where the word evil is used to refer to bad fruit (of a literal tree).. hence one can say evil is half-real!

  if you think evil exists or doesnt exist, both are right.

  If the Governing Body Told You They Love You All Very Much, What Would Your Reply Be?

  in a letter in the 2013 yearbook of jehovah's witnesses, the governing body sign off with the words, "we love you all very much".

  these words were later echoed by one of the governing body in an address to french jehovah's witnesses in july this year.

  these words sound so marvellously compelling and heartfelt - goosebump inducing, even.. imagine the governing body wrote these words to you or expressed them to you in person- yes to you reading these very words.

  I would say, "I love you very much as well. Can you show me just one scripture in the new testament that describes how a person can get their sins forgiven outside of the new covenant"?
