Exactly, just because I love my enemies doesn't mean that I'll allow them to rape and pillage my family and my neighbor. Jesus never once condemned the military. A good military is a blessing from the Lord when used as protection and not agression.

Just How Secure Is God's Covenant?

suffice it to say that we were so close that our spirits were one.

When I was a young boy, I had a dog named Foxie. Suffice it to say that we were so close that our spirits were one. It seemed that we could almost communicate telepathically. She would do just about ANYTHING I directed her to do. I was shocked when she had puppies how things changed. I would drag her away from her litter to play ball as usual, but then she'd hear a whelp from one of the pups and I suddenly went form hero to zero - like a bullet back to the litter.

I witnessed a similar phenomona in my wife with the birth of our two sons a few years ago. Feminine gutteral instinct was a force to behold.

With this in mind Jehovah shows us just how secure members of the blood covenant really are, in Isaiah 45

I have long wondered how a man like Franz could so brazenly attempt to overthrow the plain meaning of the New Covenant by the double false insertion of the word "covenant" for a kingdom in God's word. - Luke 22: 29

I've listened to his sermons from the 50's era Yankee Stadium hey-day, and he had some vocal quirks in his delivery that produced a hypnotic effect.... in my opinion. I have noticed that people that I believe were posessed seem to have strange vocal characteristics. ie Hitler. I know that a lot of speculation is not wise, but I can't help but wonder if all this havoc (6 generations in my family) isn't mainly the result of a short demon-posessed misfit college drop-out.

My children, ages 5 and 7 can only relate to me through faith (belief). Our ability to KNOW things is vastly different. It will ALWAYS be like this in relation to God.

The bible contains historical accounts of what happens when finite beings don't believe God - who is infinite.

Fernando, I totaly agree. As JW's most of us ( I know I did) mocked the concept - Jesus as Personal Savior. My father flat out told me that I was being self absorbed, and giving myself too much self-importance to entertain such ideas. This kind of reasoning is straight out of the pits of Hell.

Hebrews 9:27 states clearly that there will be a PERSONAL JUDGEMENT for every person. This totally justifies the need for a personal savior since "none are righteous, no not one".

No wonder the Watchtower ruling religious clergy class would choke at any inclusive reference to the "New Covenant Scriptures" (second half of the Bible) - which is also quite clear about ONE HOPE (covering access to both heaven and earth).

Agreed. The Old Testament was about getting your sins forgiven through the blood of animals. The New Covenant (New Testament) was about the EXACT SAME THING except through a "better sacrifice" which was God himself in the personage of the man Jesus "once for all time".

All other theological subterfuges employed by the WT are peripheral to their central teaching of the rejection of the New Covenant for the forgiveness of Personal Sins.
