Are you agreeing with the org's lies that Jesus wasn't a "corresponding ransom" (1 Tim. 2:6) and that he didn't save exactly what was lost by Adam, (Luke 19:10) but rather, his perfect life bought back far more than what Adam lost - i.e. eternal life on earth for the majority, plus 144,000 Melchizedeks promoted to heaven?

None of Adam's prospective descendents lost out on a heavenly hope - not one!!!!!

How could that balance the "scales of justice?"

re chap. 27 p. 180 par. 13 - At the same time, the woman (God's heavenly organization!) flees to a place that God has prepared for her in the wilderness.

(Revelation 12:6) And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God and where they would feed her for 1,260 days.

Why would God's heavenly organization (the woman) be so afraid of Satan, and flee?

Here's a clue: the nation of Israel, followed by the "Israel of God."

"Watchtower" vs Jehovah's Witnesses

rattigan350, whenever someone brings up the failings of the organisation we refer to as "the watchtower", tries to define the argument away by saying that the watchtower is a corporate entity and has very little to do with the kingdom halls, the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses.. could someone who knows their stuff please explain if this is a false dichotomy, using the literature which is used by r&f jws, if possible?.

it gets kind of tiresome when someone makes a point about something that the watchtower said and mr. apologist comes along and tries to define away what is usually a very good point..

If the WTBTS and the CCoJW are separate entities - independent of each other - and the WT has no authority over the G.B., (as Gerrit Losch asserted to a court in the U.S.) then why does the G.B. of the CCoJW orchestrate and conduct the Annual Meeting of the WTBTS?

Why don't the board members of the WTBTS Inc. run the annual self-praise fest???????

At 4 mins 9 seconds in the video, the Borg quotes the apostle Paul's advice about giving, but throughout their history they've never exhorted "career JW's" to follow his example - to earn their own living while preaching the good news!

I'm just waiting for the WTBTS to join the evangelical's gravy-train on TV, and start up JW-TV.

This Generation/ 1975

i was born in 1977 & came in as a convert in 2003 --- so i have no idea what went on before my time.. however i have been familiar with the scriptures of "nobody knows the day or hour" & " it will come as a theif in the night" meaning that it was sure but unpredictable time.

how could anyone belive that anyone else ( organization or not) put a date on it?.

also what was the significance of 1975 anyway?

@ TxNVSue2023 - Most of us here thought the same as you - that the "slave's" interpretation of Matthew 24 had a "greater fulfilment" for our time.

Regarding the great tribulation at Matthew 24:21, Jesus said "....no, nor will occur again".

How can something which Jesus said would never be repeated, possibly have a greater fulfillment?

Which part of "never" is too difficult for the G.B. to understand?

Jesus also said, "Truly I say to you that this (not "that") generation will by no means pass away until all these things happen. (Matthew 24:34)

The generation he was speaking of did see all these things occur, and then the "end" did come in - 70 C.E.
