Isn't it strange that over the past several decades, millions of JW's were never taught to tell their Bible studies that a heavenly hope was possible for them, when Paul specifically stated there was one hope!

Perhaps the Bible's description of the vessel being called an 'ark' (meaning chest or coffer) instead of a 'boat,' offers a clue as to its functional shape.
It seems certain (according to experts) that the Kentucky ark would disintegrate if placed in water.
Mr. A. M. Robb was referring to any given wooden ship, but I assume he wasn't asked about a gigantic wooden crate, reinforced internally throughout with wooden floors. Maybe.

The ark was crate shaped according to the measurements. It wasn't built to sail on a cruise, it was made to float.

I'll stick with Jesus' version that there would only be one G.T. featuring all the signs he gave, and that it would "never occur again." No greater fulfillment.

they charged one and let the other off.. police in london are investigating the theft of dogs throughout the city.. they don't have any leads.. i found a large box filled with kodak 35 mm camera film, and handed it in to the police.. they said they'd let me know if there were any developments.. police recovered a valuable stolen microscope.. they say they're looking into it.. yorkshire police can't establish what's wrong with the sat-navs in their new fleet of squad cars.. they're still looking for leeds.. police are investigating the theft of a perpetual motion device.
they say it's an ongoing inquiry.. the old ones are the best!

Help needed
by NewLight ini’ve been visiting this site for quite a long time, although i rarely posted.
i would like to thank simon and all the participants, for the valuable information and support that is available here, for anyone searching about the jw organization.. just a brief introduction of myself: i live in europe (english is not my native language, so please bear with any mistakes i make).
i was born in a jw family and i’m still in the organization, but i’ve been “on the fence” about leaving the organization for quite a long time.

Hi NewLight, welcome to the forum.
Many of us have been through what you are feeling just now and have used different means to escape the claws of the WTBTS beast.
If you're going to disassociate, you'll know exactly what faces you. If you fade, it should be less traumatic. Here is the JW 'firewall' I have shared with other "faders" over the years, to help deal with interrogators:
"Thank you for your concerns, but I/we have PRIVATE & PERSONAL concerns which I/we can't discuss with anyone at the moment, but I/we appreciate your motives and concern. If things change, it's good to know that I/we can call you."
Conversation Stoppers - especially when elders contact you:
1) "We only want to come and give you encouragement." Simply repeat the response above!
2) "But how can we help you if you won't talk to us?"
"Everyone has PRIVATE & PERSONAL situations which they can't discuss with others, and I'm sure that includes elders - I'm no different!"
3) Are you refusing to talk with us?
"No, I just don't want to discuss things right now. I'll call you if things change." If they persist with their interrogation, just say 'thanks', and walk away - immediately!
Do not PROLONG their interrogation. They can't punish you for ending a conversation! Repeat any/all of the above to anyone who tries to extract information from you, because the elders will try and get someone you trust to get the information out of you! Elders hate having potential "loose cannons" in their domain. All the best.

@ VH7 - Armageddon will subsequently be a totally separate event which deals with the removal of all that's evil on earth, just as has been done heaven - "Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10; Revelation 12:9)
Acts 14:22 is not referring to a great tribulation - a single prophetic event - it's pointing out to Christians that being followers of Christ will bring hardships/afflictions/persecution.
@ FM - It's wrong to attribute the wording Jesus used to describe the 1st century great tribulation in Matthew as being the same as the one in Revelation. To do so totally dismisses his guarantee, "no, nor will occur again," and willfully chooses to ignore the scriptural context between Revelation 2:22 and Revelation 7:14.
Read all 3 verses again, and then provide me with scriptural/logical proof that contextually, Jesus wasn't discussing the same G.T. in both of the Revelation verses. (approx. 7 minutes apart in his conversation with John)
The org wants JW's to conflate these two separate great tribulations - to "prove" their dogma.

when the 'green man' lights up, the hidden button then rotates, letting people who are blind and deaf have a physical alert to know that it's now safe to cross the road..
