Likewise with me Smiddy: I recently copied & pasted 14 Watchtower quotes in an email to a couple of diehard JW's who never "abandoned" us when we faded - which essentially confirmed my "point" regarding a JW dogma.
It looks very much like they have now! The prolonged silence is deafening.

I suspect that PIMI JW's existence is now so depressing, that any hot gossip they hear is a "God-send."
The jungle drums (social media/emails/texts) then spread the news faster than you can say "apostate."
JW gossip is more virulent than coronavirus - and twice as deadly!

The cornerstone of JW belief is not Jehovah/Jesus Christ - it's based on the Gibbering Body!
Disbelief in the G.B.'s self-proclaimed appointment or teachings, means gehenna for all.
w90 3/15 p. 12 par. 10 - "Christ, the active Head of the congregation, used this enlarged governing body to settle the important doctrinal matter of non-Jewish Christians’ being circumcised..." (according to "God's org" dogma!)
Also - bt chap. 13 p. 103 - "....the first-century governing body settled the circumcision issue...")
But what does the Bible really teach?
Galatians 2:1-6 shows that it was the apostle Paul who was used to resolve the issue, being directed by a revelation to teach the older men in Jerusalem - not the other way around. (especially verses 2 & 6)
1 ...after 14 years I again went up to Jerusalem with Barʹna·bas, also taking Titus along with me.
2 I went up as a result of a revelation, and I presented to them the good news that I am preaching among the nations. This was done privately, however, before the men who were highly regarded, to make sure that I was not running or had not run in vain.
3 Nevertheless, not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, although he was a Greek.
4 But that matter came up because of the false brothers brought in quietly, who slipped in to spy on the freedom we enjoy in union with Christ Jesus, so that they might completely enslave us;
5 we did not yield in submission to them, no, not for a moment, so that the truth of the good news might continue with you.
6 But regarding those who seemed to be important whatever they were makes no difference to me, for God does not go by a man’s outward appearance - those highly regarded men imparted nothing new to me.
Claims that the apostle Paul was a member of a "governing body" are dispelled in verse 1 where it reveals that he never went near Jerusalem for 14 years.
Neither the teaching nor the term 'governing body' appear anywhere in the Bible.

Perhaps the JW's view of the G.T. isn't as bad as they make it out to be/want it to be.

Why do JW apostates tend to be activists against the religion?

most jws are technically apostates from the religions they were raised in.

If any of my former JW associates labelled me as "an apostate," I'd ask them to explain to me exactly what they think an apostate is - not what the org tells them it means.*
"Heresy, denial or doubt of any defined doctrine, is sharply distinguished from apostasy, which denotes deliberate abandonment of the Christian faith itself."
Many people abandon the denomination/org/sect of JW's, but not Christianity.
Christianity & the org are not one and the same!
*Likewise with the word "Christendom." ("Christian people or countries as a whole" - https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/christendom)

"Outside the realms" of the words meaning?
by Blotty ini was recently doing some research and came across this curious quite from dr beduhn - i can't say how valid it is or if he actually said it (source linked).
but this got me thinking i don't think there is anything in any bible where it is a "deliberate" distortion or the words go against the "possible range of meanings the greek" could have.
i know beduhn is not considered an authority however he does have a point - if its in the range of meanings it is by no means a mistranslation & cannot be pointed out as such.

In both of the quoted scriptures from the NWT, "the society" aka "the organization" has falsely translated the Greek word phobos - phobia = fear;
(1 Peter 3:2) ...together with deep respect.
(1 Peter 3:15) ....but doing so with a mild temper and deep respect.
Peter was reminding Christians & their wives to maintain their Godly-fear; nothing to do with "deep respect."

But if Jesus’ words about it in Matthew 24:20 ("no, nor will occur again) and Mark 13:19 ("...and will not occur again") are restricted to just the end of Jerusalem in 70 C.E., then his language regarding this becomes extravagant. It certainly was not the greatest tribulation ever to occur in all recorded human history." (JW's: which part of "not occur again" is hard to understand? 🤣🤣)
Scripturally speaking, if the flood in Noah's day wiped out at least 99.99% of the world's population, that would easily qualify as the greatest tribulation "in all recorded human history." But Jesus wasn't talking about that; he was describing the greatest tribulation to ever occur in the Jewish nation - not "the world."
