@ Seabreeze - We can't acknowledge that "scripture says that one day a man named God would be born," because it isn't saying that.

Isaiah 9:6 -calls Jesus a "mighty god," not Almighty God."

I'll never forget the look of horror on a zealous pioneer sister's face when I innocently made a comment regarding "the org probably lost a lot of money in the 2008 stock market crash."

She immediately denied the org invested in the stock market, and turned to her husband for confirmation. He did - he confirmed what I'd said was true. The poor woman's face was a picture! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sign of the Last Days

in the sermon on the mount, jesus foretold that earthquakes “in one place after another” would be part of the sign of the last days clímaxing in the great tribulation.. what could jesus possibly have meant?

using a phone app nowadays, there are earthquakes detected in one place after another but is this what jesus meant and did they have so many earthquakes throughout the centuries affter his prophecy or are these modern day detected earthquakes unique to this epoch?

how can we be sure unequivocally that modern day earthquakes are part of the sign fulfilling bible prophecy?.

@ Anony Mous - I never said "all" and neither does the scripture. Doesn't have to be "all."

Example - the majority of the world's governments (not all) obeyed the "recommendations" of the unelected W.H.O. during the respiratory virus scenario. You saw how that unfolded!

Guess WHO wants these "recommendations" turned into laws? The E.U. and the UK think it's a good idea!

Almost 2000 years ago, John wrote, "Furthermore, the world is passing away..." (1 John 2:17)

The day I was born (several decades ago) I began "passing away" - but I wasn't in my "last days."

If a doctor finds signs/proof that I've got a terminal illness which is about to cut me down, then I'll know that I'm in my "last days."

If/when we see Biblical/divine evidence* (not 140 + years of speculation) that the prophesied "last days" have started, the whole world will become aware - not just Christians. (IMO)

* Revelation 17:17 assures Bible readers that the governments of the world will delegate some of their authority & decision making powers to a singular new entity. (something similar to what many non-believers think today. NWO?)

Faded then apostate?

if someone has faded so they are not known as a jw for a few years there is no need to be disfellowshiped or announced that they are no longer a jw.. so they wouldn’t need to be shunned the same way as if they did a hard exit like writing a letter or something.. so if evidence arose that such a faded person was sinning there still would be no need to announce that they were no longer a jw the same as if they were known as a jw.

family members and members of the congregation would not shun them?.

what would happen if such a faded person became apostate?

Could this be the end of JWs? What are the consequences if it is?

multiple very serious allegations against tony and then huge efforts to remove him from all pictures and videos, have to admit it doesn’t look good.. once the pennsylvania investigation becomes public knowledge and front page news it will be very very hard for 8 million pimis.. is it possible that this could be the largest problem the branch has ever faced?

larger than 1975, the overlapping generations or any other ‘test of faith’.

many will feel heartbroken and betrayed.

Sadly, it won't be the end of the cult. Still, many more are waking up, so it'll help.

JW response: "Oh, there's bad in every organization/religion. Even Judas was bad - and Jesus chose him!"

That's why I prefer to focus on the org's fake teachings & practices, rather than the "imperfect" JW's.
