Only SEVEN (7) people will survive the great tribulation!
by BoogerMan inif the faithful evil slave says it, it must be true!.
w78 8/15 p. 31 - "accordingly, the present period is the conclusion of the entire wicked system of things, which will be climaxed by a “tribulation such as has not occurred from the beginning of the creation.”....in fact, it will even be greater than the flood of noah’s time when the entire “world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water.”.

What the Trinitarian perspective on John 8.28?
by slimboyfat inthis is not a verse that i’ve seen feature heavily in trinitarian debates but it seems to me it presents a problem for the trinity.
if there are any around i’d be interested to know your perspective, or anything you can find on the meaning and how it doesn’t contradict the trinity.
the verse says:.

@ aqwsed12345 - "the Father is "greater" because He is the source and origin = principle) of the Godhead."
I thought the 3 trinity "entitities" were co-equal & co-eternal in power and substance! How can you heretically dismiss the basis of the trinity by introducing contradictory wordings which assert some kind of hierarchy between them?
The Catholic Encyclopedia's summary of the trinity - "It's a mystery" - is bang on!
It's a mystery why anyone believes such unscriptural theology, concocted by Rome.

NORWAY Verdict : The Aftermath
by raymond frantz inhttps://www.jwupdates.com/post/watchtower-will-take-norwegian-defeat-to-echr.
few norwegian religious communities need to worry after the jehovah's witnesses verdict, according to legal expert vibeke blaker strand.
he has pointed out that it is particularly serious to deprive a religious community of its registration.

The JWBORG website says this in its news page:
"....the [Norwegian] government’s attempt to deregister Jehovah’s Witnesses as a religious community in Norway."
I don't think that's what the Norwegian government has done, do you?
Deregistered for receiving free cash from Norwegian taxpayers - that's what's happened! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

1 Cor. 15:27,28 - He (God Almighty) has put all things in subjection under his (Jesus Christ) feet. But when it says, “all things” have been put in subjection, it is clear that the One (God Almighty) who subjected all things to him (Jesus) is not included.
28And when all things have been put in subjection to him, (God Almighty) then the Son (Jesus Christ) will subject himself to Him (God Almighty) who put all things in subjection to him. (Jesus Christ)"Why could one third not be in subjection to the other third, while the other third would be?
Sounds like one of the parts of the co-eternal, co-equal trinity is going to be downgraded in authority.

G.B.'s fantasy about "heavenly power"
by BoogerMan inmatthew 20:9-12 - "when the 11th-hour men came, all believers in christ each received everlasting life on earth.
came, they assumed that they would receive more and become immortal kings in heaven, but they too were paid with everlasting life on earth.
11 on receiving it, they began to complain against the master of the house 12 and said, ‘these last men didn't run the org; still you made them equal to us.

Matthew 20:9-12 - "When the 11th-hour men came, all believers in Christ each received everlasting life on earth. 10 So when the G.B. came, they assumed that they would receive more and become immortal kings in heaven, but they too were paid with everlasting life on earth. 11 On receiving it, they began to complain against the master of the house 12 and said, ‘These last men didn't run the org; still you made them equal to us.' So Jesus asked them if they were aware of what Adam actually lost for mankind, and to explain to him why they thought that his ransom could buy back more than what Adam forfeited."

For all JW's: Stop calling others "apostates."
by BoogerMan inif you don't want to be thrown into gehenna, read what your own faithful evil slave & christ say:.

If you don't want to be thrown into Gehenna, read what your own
faithfulevil slave & Christ say:cj chap. 3 p. 110 Chapter 3 - "Jesus Christ said: “Whoever says, ‘You despicable fool!’ (apostate) will be liable to the fiery Gehenna.” (Matt. 5:22) The person who wrongly condemned his brother as a “despicable fool,” (apostate) that is, as being morally worthless, would be in great danger of such a serious consequence. This is because he would be viewing his brother as deserving the judgment of Gehenna, or hoping that his brother would suffer that judgment. In his heart he would be desiring this for his brother and, therefore, would be putting himself in line for the punishment he wished for the one whom he was calling a “despicable fool.” (apostate)
w78 4/15 p. 22 - "Jesus then went a step farther, saying: “Whoever says, ‘You despicable fool!’ (apostate) will be liable to the fiery Gehenna.” (Matt. 5:22c) The Greek word rendered “you despicable fool” is mōré. A similar-sounding Hebrew term (moreh) means “rebellious,” “mutinous”...mōré designates one as morally worthless, an apostate and rebel against God."
Heresy is any belief or theory that is strongly at variance with established beliefs or customs, particularly the accepted beliefs/religious law of a religious organization. (A heretic disagrees with one or more teachings of the religious hierarchy)
Apostasy is the term used to describe the renunciation and criticism of, or opposition to, a person's former religion. (An apostate completely abandons their religion and openly denounces it)

Why Do JW's Believe that Hell is Symbolic When the Disciples of the Apostles believed it Was Literal ?
by Sea Breeze inlooks like the early christians believed jesus when he warned about hell over 40 times.
why don't the jw's do the same?.
from “the epistle of barnabas” (70-130ad).

@ Seabreeze - So you're saying that if I willfully sin for 840 months, (70 years) the God which you worship is going to punish me terribly - for all of eternity???????? 😕😕😕😕😕😕
And you think your "God" is loving & just? No human judge on earth would be as evil as that!

Radical shake up
by Mikejw inimagine if all the governing body resigned and a new set of brothers came in and said we are very very sorry for all those who have been disfellowshipped and disassociated over the years.
we know many mistakes have been made.
we are really genuinely sorry to all those who have been hurt and especially those who have died and been hurt by these mistakes.
