(John 1:15) John bore witness about Jehovah...

(John 5:37) And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about Himself.

(John 8:18) ...bears witness about Jehovah, and the Father..bears witness about Himself.

(John 15:26, 27) ....bear witness about Jehovah; and you, in turn, are to bear witness....(about Him)

(Acts 1:8) ..witnesses of Jehovah in Jerusalem,.....the most distant part of the earth.”

(Revelation 20:4) ...for the witness they gave about Jehovah....

In whose name were Christians to rely?

(Acts 11:26) ..........the disciples were by divine providence called Jehovah's Witnesses.

(Acts 16:18) “I order you in the name of Jehovah.”

(Acts 19:5) On hearing this, they got baptized in the name of Jehovah.

(Acts 21:13) ...but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of Jehovah.

(Acts 22:16) ....get baptized,.....by your calling on Jehovah.

(1 Corinthians 5:4) - ....gathered together in the name of Jehovah.

(1 Corinthians 6:11) ...declared righteous in the name of Jehovah.

(Philippians 2:10) .....so that in the name of Jehovah every knee should bend......

(Revelation 2:3) ....and you have borne up for Jehovah's name’s sake...

(Revelation 2:13) ......and yet you keep on holding fast Jehovah's name,. . .

in the educated, civilised world, people think " yea ?

maybe because of economic meltdown exacerbated by climate change, but not from some intervention by a non-existent god".. "would you like a free bible study ?

@ a watcher - Disagree.

If you can reword Luke 19:10 to say "more than what was lost," redefine what a ransom actually restores, and contradict the apostle Paul's words at Ephesians 4:4-6 - "just as you were called to the one hope of your calling,"

then perhaps I'd swallow the un-Biblical myth of some/all "good" people floating off to heaven, as opposed to "multiplying & filling the earth" and subjecting it.

In U.K. law, an "accessory after the fact" is someone who, after a crime is committed, helps the criminal conceal it or aid their escape, and can be charged and punished as a separate offender, even if the principal offender is not convicted.

Why doesn't this law apply to Elders (and parents!) when the crime of pedophila is committed?

as a christian, my starting point is that we exist because the most fundamental form of activity, energy, call it what you like, that is there, is love.

What exactly did Adam lose for his descendants - life on earth as humans, or as spirit creatures in heaven?

No one - not even an angel from heaven - (Gal. 1:8) can convince me that a ransom ever buys back more than what was lost!

In 1974 "the New Order" was cool.

w74 12/15 pp. 765-766 par. 36 - "And now, as the year 1975 opens up, some thousands of the anointed remnant, still alive on this earth, look ahead to realizing that joyful prospect. The increasing “great crowd” of their sheeplike companions look forward with them to entering the New Order without interruption of life. In the New Order Jehovah God will add to the “length of days” of the anointed remnant on earth to the point of satisfying the members thereof. It remains to be seen whether they will be yet retained here on earth to see the start of the resurrection of the earthly dead and to meet faithful witnesses of ancient, pre-Christian times."

From 1952 until 1966, a new world order was the in-phrase:

w66 12/1 p. 730 - "They will enjoy the fine privilege of seeing Satan’s complete organization on earth and all wickedness destroyed off of it and the dawning of a righteous new day in which a new world order under the peaceful kingdom of Christ will be ushered in to rule everlastingly."

w52 7/15 p. 432 par. 1 - "From these it is possible to obtain a clearing vision of the details which will operate in the new world order of things.... God’s dealings with those ancient societies foreshadowed many developments in the new world order of things."

w52 11/15 pp. 696-697 pars. 3 - 5 - "...they were given authority to become God’s children with the promise of everlasting life in that new world order, that new heavens and new earth where righteousness dwells....The answer is, because God not only determined and set his mind on that new world order.....From the foregoing we can appreciate it is not an impersonal kind of love that God has for a certain arrangement. That new world order under God’s kingdom is made up of individuals..."

But how did the self-proclaimed "slave" come up with this non-Biblical catchphrase?

w50 6/1 p. 171 - "The new world means more than the nations realize. It calls for more than they can muster. The bald fact is that they do not want it. For that reason the promised new world of lasting peace should not be confused with the so-called “new order” or “new world order” that was held up and widely advertised a few years ago by the political and religious dictators as a lure to the people."

The Awake! magazine is awash with articles which mention the new world order.
