  i was wondering if i would be considered an apostate for posting on this board.

  i don't speak against the organization to any witnesses.

  i do talk candidly to other inactive ones who feel the same way.

  My daughter is a j-dub and she called her husband an apostate because he knows the TTATT and he is a baptist. So to them anyone who speaks against the Cult is apostate in their minds.

  600 people up and left the DC after the 'apostate' talk?

  an 'apostate' inactive jw in america i know on facebook went to the dc and said fully 600 people left between the end of the apostate talk and the lunch break.

  have any of you who also went to the dc seen something like this happen?

  I've seen many leave due to complete boredom. But I don't doubt that that happened. Soon the report will be thousands leaving after that type of talk. After all they spew utter hate towards us.

  I wanted to punch this elder so bad!

  so i decided to attend the meeting last.

  since i haven't gone in about 2 weeks, and i leave as soon as it ends, and elder decided to corner me at the end.

  lately i've been through some very depressing family issues that are non-jw related so i haven't been my best at acting like i care about the org.

  i am mostly a lurker here..i check this website everyday.

  my husband and i left the religion 3 years ago.

  all my family were active jws when we left, but that is all changing now.

  I also was an elder and found out the truth about the truth. (TATT) have your mother read Ray Franz books and she will wake up fast. I think my avatar might be scary too. But the most scariest symbol is the watchtower. Their words are full of lies and dead mans bones.

  My Encounter with a JW couple this Morning

  i was shopping with nugget in sainsburys and i saw them in the bread aisle.

  a couple in their late 70's / early 80's who really i do have an affection for.

  he was an ms when i left, not sure if he still is, and she was just a very genuine person with decades of "faithful service" to the cult.. when i was a newly appointed elder, their grand-daughter had accused her step-father of sexual abuse, he was eventually df'd but has since my leaving been reinstated.

  Your exactly right CANTLEAVE, we were blind also for awhile until we were either shown TTATT or did our own research which woke us up. Always good to remember our fight is with the ORGANIZATION and not the people inside who are captives to a concept. Thanks for you experience bro, it brightened my day.

  My husband MISSED the meeting today! Unheard of!

  he decided to take me somewhere nice in the country for a day instead, and when he suggested it last night i was amazed that he would have even thought of missing the meeting!

  he was one of those guys who only missed a meeting, literally, if he had a spinal injury and couldn't move!.

  but, i've been sharing a little of the ttatt with him, teensy tiny bits that i can substantiate from the bible or other reputable sources.
