Please provide me with PROOF that five members of the GB are child molesters.
And if you can, why go to all this trouble when the evidence should be brought to the authorities to deal with immediately. The main argument seems to be that JW's deal with child abuse internally and don't welcome outside interference. You seem to be dealing with this allegation in a similar manner. Get the police, don't waste time in what everyone knows will be a fruitless exercise.
i have a friend who is studying with the jw's right now.
he's a very open minded guy and has been interested in hearing what i have to say on the matter.
he has seen the dateline show (i taped it for him) - and i've shown him some info about the history.
Thomas's "my lord and my god" could simply have been an exclamation at seeing the Christ raised.
However, in John 1:18 Jesus is called the 'only-begotten God', and in Isaiah9:6 he is prophetically referred to as 'mighty god'. John 1:1 clearly shows Jesus is divine of nature. He just isn't Almighty God as the Greek attests. Jesus is theos whereas God is Hotheos.

maybe this is a local phenomenon, but does it aver occur to you that jws whose mate dies often remarry in what society in general regards as an ``unseemly'' short time after the death of their spouses?
i guess the most prominent example of this is audrey knorr, who tied the knot a second time not long after ``pappy'' knorr was interred in 1977.. just wondering.

i have always wondered why so many jws i knew suffered from the illness "m.e" previous to being a jw i never heard of this illness but when joining the borg i noticed noticed so many jws saying all of a sudden they had m.e maybe its a jw disease trend.

I'd love to phone them. This one really sticks in my craw, as it was never an officialy sanctioned view. The 'old-guard' should try having clinical depression and find out the truth for themselves. They had NO RIGHT snooping around your house pushing personal opinions, and I hope you threw them out! Coming from an organization that actively seeks new members it should spend more time caring for the ones it's already got insted of bringing people in the front door whilst shovelling others out the back. Did not King David suffer depression at his sin with Bathsheba, and Moses due to the tiresome Isrealites? They both recieved loving help of a practical nature from the Almighty himself. If they'd been in your or mine congregation I suppose they'd have been counselled about a wrong lifestyle and encouraged to fall off the fence they were sitting on.

The whole point about the Biblical teaching of demons is that they "turn themselves into angels of light" so those posters replying with disbelief in them or positive experiences of the spirit world are actually proving the Bible and the WT teachings on this topic correct. Personally I believe in the resurrection as I can't find anything better. I rest a strong hope in it as my husband is 42 years my senior and I hope so much that if anything happened to him we'd be able to be together again. Problem is he was a widower, so what happens to wife no.1? Hope she isn't resurected with a knife in her hand.
i was laughing at the thread talking about the blue smurfs, how demonic they were.
:) it made me remember other stupid phobias the witnesses had, and how easy rumours were to spead around.
one for instance, was the false rumour about proctor and gamble, and how their business emblem/ picture/ whatever you call it was demonic, and how it was the sign of the devil, and to stay away from anything to do with that company.
They didn't exactly live in fear, but I heard of someone who said they had been!
Also someone who called on a white witch whilst on the ministry and swore they saw her dog 'grow' two foot taller while they watched it!!!!!!!
