  Seattle Convention Videos

  we went to dinner in the city with family members afterward and saw a lot of old friends.

  Watched the travelogue video and was a little surprised the narrator used the word WE so much.

  WE have this natural beauty. WE have this amazing agricultural system. WE have this amazing hydropower. WE are home to technology companies etc.

  THEY have contributed nothing to all of the above. In fact if their vision ever came true THEY would make sure that most of the residents of the fine State would vanish at the hands of an angry god. Just vomit inducing.

  i have often laughed at public outpourings of emotion.

  just google mike schmidt"s retirement speech in which he loses it and blithers on about his career.

  completely douche chilling.. but to be honest, i had a moment recently when i literally balled my eyes out.

  But to be honest, I had a moment recently when I literally balled my eyes out. For some reason I was watching my kids interact and I thought of all the children that have never been born because "the end is near." It hit me like a ton of bricks. I completely lost it.

  After regaining my composure, I got angry at this evil institution that strips so many people of what are basic human needs and desires in the name of god. It's unimaginable that there are those who put so much faith in the GB that they deny themselves even the pleasures of family life.

  Woe be it to the woman with a suckling child at Armageddon! This was always the justification for the unspoken yet very real prohibition on childbirth. "Responsible child rearing in the time of the end" was the title of a talk at the 1986 District Convention. How about the fact that it would be unchristian to refuse assistance to the weak in a time of distress? Yet many of the uber faithfull have gone without having children.

  I'm happy to write that even back then my inner self told the GB to F off. My two kids are my greatest joy in life. They're smart, funny, successful and thankfully living apart from this mind controlling horseshit.

  This was my out of control moment. What about yours?

  recently, my mother, who had stopped talking to me because i was 'apostate,' started speaking to me again.. (note that i successfully faded as opposed to ever being disfellowshipped due to dodging every elder question with "i'm not sure, i'm still searching and trying to find the answers.").

  Qualcomm (formerly Padre) stadium sits slightly east of I-15 just far enough inland to be completely brutal. Anywhere along the coast or even downtown is perfect. Why can't they hold it at Cabrillo Park?

  At first I thought you were SAYING that the SD convention rules, to which I would have to disagree heartily. It's aptly named SD because it sucks a bag of d*&ks!

  Now when its 100 degrees and 80% humidity you can't even shade yourself? So the lamo behind you can see the numbnuts on the stage?

  What would happen if you told the attendant or said lamo to F off? Sorry brother, I can't see the stage becasue your carting that elderly sister who is suffering from heat stroke up the aisle.

  Baseball stadiums were meant for sitting for three hours max in a tanktop while you swill pints of cheap beer. Not to sit in a suit and tie for days on end listening to insufferable mindless propaganda.

  my mother in law (in her 80's) just told me that she had the elders around to pick up her 'donation' pledge.

  it was 'suggested that $20 a month was the average amount pledged but she could pledge more or less.

  so, rather than an anonymous amount they have a signed document stating the amount of her pledge.

  Recently visited the Metropolitan Museum in NYC. For years they've been criticized for advertsising that it's free but asking for a "suggested donation." It's 25 bucks. Big deal. Well worth it. The point is, if you ask to get in for free you get the stink eye.

  I'm sure its the same in the KH's. "I'm sorry I can't afford a red cent." "Reallly Bro poor beyond belief? Not even 20 bucks?"
