  Well, I did my 1st (& last) post to that site regarding this thread!!! I posted (and I'm quoting almost EXACTLY what my post said:

  USing Christian Love when Speaking: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for this site. However, I have grave concerns over a couple of posts I have read (until deleted by our wonderful moderators) that have used expressions of "hatred" regarding "apostates". I humbly think that we should perhaps use Christian love when speaking of those in the world. Jehovah admonishes us "to hate the actions". Never the persons. Besides, those "apostates" today may very well be our brothers/sisters tommorrow.

  My message got deleted & my membership was revoked. Did I say something wrong?.....This type of mentality is EXACTLY why I do not wish to ever be a member of their organization again!!!!!

  okay, in the w - 10/15/00 - there is an article of these 2 men who were actually the "beginning" of the true "religion" of god.

  when i read about it, it makes absolutely no sense!!!!

  Did I miss something? In bboy's defense, he did say
  "Nuthin wrong with boohooin, just dont let it take over"
  But, bboy, the problem is that there are many (like me) who spent years just feeling sooooooooooooo self-worthless, they wouldn't even have BEGUN to look at what was really going on! And they aren't automatically boo-hooing either - they don't feel they even deserve that priviledge!!!!!!! Thanks Tyydyy - perhaps reposting this thread will help many of the others that are bound to find their way to places like this!!!

  another question....i have 5 siblings, we were all brought up as "jw's".

  we were all also sexually molested from at least 3 years of age or younger.

  as the last 2-3 decades have past, all but 1 sibling has left the jw's.

  Another question....I have 5 siblings, we were all brought up as "JW's". We were all also sexually molested from at least 3 years of age or younger. As the last 2-3 decades have past, all but 1 sibling has left the JW's. But, even though we have "left", we still seem to be torn apart from our very upbringing. Being around each other leaves "uncomfortable" reminders of who we all once were, and what happened to us as children (most of us until our teens). Has anyone else here experienced this type of tragedy & how did they overcome it?

  ALL of the above. It wasn't until very recently that I even considered the JW's "a cult". I plan on buying this book & perhaps it will help w/many issues in my life. If the JW's are a cult, which it appears they are, how can they have soooo many members? When I think of cults, I think of Hari-Krishnas & Waco - very small in size. What gives the JW's so much power?

  How Does One Find Another Religion

  this is probably a strange question, but how do you "pick" something else to study?

  i'm having a hard time just picking up the bible & reading it - but i'm terrified of picking up any "study material" from other organized religions to help.

I'm having a hard time just picking up the bible & reading it - but I'm terrified of picking up any "study material" from other organized religions to help. Which Bible do I use? Is there another bible, other than the NWT by the JW's that comes from actual scrolls? I'm also extremely terrified of getting caught up in another "cult" and losing the ability to think for myself. Because I was born & raised a JW, I have never been taught good study habits that didn't involve studying the W & A by heart & glancing at the scriptures from the bible that the articles happen to contain. How does 1 who truly wants to know God study?

  protesters against JWs at WTC on 9/11?

  my fiance's mother, who is in complete hysteria since the attack on 9/11 and went back to being a witness after 10 years (clearly the main reason my fiance is now considering he should go back)told my fiance something that she heard from one of the elders last week.

  i am not sure if it is true and most likely, there is no way to prove it.

  she said that on the day of the attack, there was a group of people outside the wtc screaming and badmouthing jws because they don't fly the flag etc.

  america has taken its war against terror beyond afghanistans borders and has struck another country.. .

  as american bombs and missiles struck taleban targets in four afghan cities for the second consecutive night, the bush administration served formal notice at the united nations that this could be just the beginning of a worldwide campaign and that campaign has been extended to iceland.

  john negroponte, the us ambassador to the un, said that the us investigation prompted military action against iceland as he had conclusive evidence that it sheltered al-qaeda and its taleban protectors...at some point, although he excepted that their might have been a spelling mistake.

  First Reaction To My UN letters

  my husband called his cousin this morning and the first thing the cousin said to my husband was something like, are you aware that your wife sent us some information that was very disturbing to us?.

  my husband let him know that he did not know i was sending out those letters but he had since done research on the info and found that i was correct.. the cousin asked my husband if he was aware that i could be in trouble for a letter like that.

  my husband informed him again that i was telling the truth and he had called the un himself to verify.. the cousin said he would call the society to see if this is true but.

  The JW's have been praised for the efforts in the rescue/clean-up efforts at the WTC site? GIVE ME A BREAK!!! When did they break their opinion on 9/11/01, when the shades were drawn so that everyone would get back to work?!!!!!!

  If they are helping out - great! But, this in itself (and I don't wanna be 1 of those damned if ya do/if ya don't persons)goes against their policies - doesn't it? I mean, why would they be "helping" all the people they've already condemned to death? And does this mean that during the Great Tribulation & Armageddon, we can be sure to go the JW's for their assistance? UGGGGGHHHH
