  Let's Blame Ray Franz For Everything!!!

  i continue to read how franz is to blame for every wrong because, after all, he was on the governing body and he had to know everything that went on.

  some here say, "let's drop this issue".

  these same ones continue to bring it up.

  I for one am tired of Bill Bowen's being called "Silent Lambs". This organization is more than Bill Bowen, as many survivors will testify to.

  Regardless of what this organization evolves into, and who is at the helm, inside you will find 100's of abuse survivors who have united to provide each other with comfort & support. Because of their unique circumstance of also being JW's,making the situation worse in most cases, it is truly theraputic to be involved with persons who know exactly where one is coming from.

  So while making your criticisms of Bill Bowens, please refer to him as Bill Bowens. Don't allow him or yourself to take the rest of Silent Lambs down with whatever "other" disagreements happen to be going on.

  Worldy Compassion & Generosity

  last friday, one of our employees' home burned to the ground, killing all 3 of his children.

  i began the process of taking up a collection, buying the card, etc.

  all of us were shocked to the core for this man's tragedy and suffering.

  Last Friday, one of our employees' home burned to the ground, killing all 3 of his children. I began the process of taking up a collection, buying the card, etc. etc. All of us were shocked to the core for this man's tragedy and suffering. I started the card/donation circulation and went home to my beautiful children (both of whom are extremely irritated at me for not being able to stop hugging & kissing on them all weekend). Anyways, Monday I had to take a personal day (your fault found!!!) so I did not come to work until today.

  Our company of only 350 employees had donated over $5500.00 for the family. One of our customers (not vendors) who happened to be here on Friday from Canada went home to their own company & began a collection for our employee - someone who they had never met as he works in one of our sub-divisions at another location. This company in Canada (of only 300 or so employees) along with the union, donated a combined sum of over $4500.00 - for someone none of these people had ever met in their life.

  It will never cease to amaze me how "worldly" the "worldlies" are when it comes to human compassion & generosity.

  The devil must've made them do it!

  probably no one is going to give conclusive evidence, but it would be interesting to hear what everyone thinks?.

  in a thread yesterday some stated that the first attack on the world trade center was on the anniversary of the fall of iraq?

  that is very interesting?.

  Breeze, I guess there is always the potential for the "enemy of my enemy is my friend", but most experts seriously doubt this theory. Sadam probably got a big laugh out of it, but if you noticed, noone believes any of the terrorists involved have gone in hiding in Iraq - they're for the most part in Pakistan.

  Should America Start Closing the Borders?

  my hubby & i had a debate tonight, so i'm kinda taking a poll..... my hubby says we should stop immigrations and start closing up the borders - except in cases of political asylum or a family member.

  Those carrying residential green cards are not an issue here. Of course all legal w/green cards or illegal immigrants should be given a case by case decision. Those who have already been approved to be residents of this country should remain. Those who haven't should be found & a decision made.

  What I'm speaking of is the mass influx every year of new immigrants. At what point do we say enough is enough - we can't handle anymore? Also, with the inability to enforce laws to keep the scum out (i.e. the 9/11 terrorists all had either residency and/or green cards) at what point do we say - no more?

  And, this is one of the most lenient countries in the world (i think - don't know for sure) in the ability to establish residense & citizenship here. I am beginning to think that we should just close off the borders and focusing on taking care of our own. This wouldn't be anti-american to me - this would be taking care of America & securing it for all legal citizens children & the future. We could reopen those boundries anytime.

  I was listening to a radio station talking about this subject. The "expert" in Middle Eastern Politics was vehemently denying that Saddam would ever work with the Osama Bin Ladins of the world. It seems that many Arab countries have alot to lose as well from persons such as himself - their very sovreignty is just as threatened as our security. They don't want those extremist fundamentalists any more than we do - its one of the reasons why they are always fighting amongst each other.

  So no, I don't believe from what I understand of the situation that Saddam would ever allow Osama close enough to work together on this.

  I Need To Gain Weight??

  i am so bummed!

  i went to the doctor yesterday and he said that i was too thin and that i need to gain 5 or 10 pounds.

  i don't understand why.

  Dutchie - I had the same problem a couple years back - I'm 5'6 & had dropped down to 103 lbs. The doc didn't like that. I started eating really tiny meals a few times a day - starting with just the banana & followed an hour later by a hershey bar, hour later another piece of fruit etc. Anything to get the metabolism up & the stomach juices flowing.

  Interesting comments all - I am becoming torn on this. Perhaps it is time to stop more from coming in - we have a great melting pot already.

  Perry - what do you mean regarding following the laws already on the books? Will this stop the 100,000+'s that immigrate to this country every year? My hubby wants to make an across the board ban on all of them, except in cases of political asylum or if they have family already living here. I know alot of other countries do this, perhaps it is time for us too.

  Francois, although illegal aliens are difficult to keep out, if we weren't so busy processing legal immigrants, perhaps there'd be more money in the pot to monitor the illegal ones?
