  Something to get off my chest!

  well i've been here for over a year now and it's been great, extremely helpful.

  i have made new friends and found a place where i feel i belong, people with like minds.. anyway, 6 months before i started posting here my life was in the crapper or so i thought.

  i have maintained an assumption here that i'm single.

  From the time I met you at the meet-up, I knew what a decent guy you were, and this post only proves it 10-fold! For being such a young man, with so much going for him (and looks to boot) - most would have just given up on a faltering marriage - but you didn't/haven't. Your wife is one lucky woman - I hope she realizes it!

  I wish you happiness, and luck with your endeavor. Hopefully, her medical issues are not of a "life threatening" nature, and you will be able to get through this and begin the process of a wonderful life together.

  Just don't forget - you DO have friends here (myself included) who want to be there for you, to listen and offer support. So lean on us if needed - kay?

  And hopefully, your lovely wife will join you at one of these meet-ups so that we can meet her too!

  i made it through two successful interviews and today they called me and said i got the job!

  i'll make about $10,000 a year more than i am now!

  My Parents are visiting tomorrow

  i talked to my mom on the phone monday.

  they're going to be at the district convention this weekend so since they'd be in macon and pretty close to where i live, i suggested they drop by.

  it's been a hard 11 years, a lot of bad times.

  I need a good beating for what I did this morning

  this morning i let my emotions run away with me and challenged my 20-year-old son into defending his loyalty to the watchtower shunning doctrine.

  it was not good, im in no way proud of myself.

  im sure he and my dub wife will likely mischaracterize it as an attack on god; anything said against the tower is always an attack on god.

  I agree w/all the sentiments here. If you feel the need to apology, then for the way you said it, not what was said.

  Also yes, please let us know if you can find out where these young men are staying. Some of us would like to send cards & perhaps even flowers, to let these young men know there's a better way, and to know that there are people out here who understand what they are going through, and care.

  WTS Addresses Child Abuse - er, kind of...

  my wife, who is intent on re-activating herself as a dub since i da'd myself, went to the convention this past weekend.

  she showed me this new publication entitled "learn from the great teacher", and placed great emphasis on these two pages i scanned and am posting.

  it makes a poor show of telling children what to do when confronted by a child abuser.

  Bradley - even you must admit that they place more emphasis (how many paragraphs) on the child NOT using their private organs in a "bad" sexual way. All that does is lead to guilt, and what does that say to any of the children reading this that have already been abused? I know it would have just re-confirmed to me that I was GUILTY!!!

  One puny sentence on "telling someone". The emphasis should have been on making sure they told, right away. And also that they haven't done ANYTHING WRONG, that they didn't do anything to encourage this behavior. They may have read an elementary pamplet on the do's & don'ts for kids (say no, tell), but they obviously didn't do too much attention to all the necessary information.

  They have totally negated the "guilt" factor in this situation, That's uno #1 to alot of victims if you haven't been reading their stories. The fact that the child is dealing with an adult, that has more manipulation variables than the offer of treats to get a child to do things.

  (((Aztec))) With all the changes in your life recently, its not suprising that you're feeling the way you are. Hang in there girl, you're gonna be alright. And whatever you do, don't latch on to someone because you're lonely - believe me - that's the worst reason (course you probably already knew that - but some of us had to learn the hard way! )

  And when you do meet Mr. Right, he has alot more inspectors to go through than just Rayzorblade - leave it to me - I'm an expert on this stuff (just ask you know who's - and I have more references if you need them!).

  (((Pistoff))) - It does get easier - there are many different levels of "grief" - and that is what you are experiencing. This is just a stage, and it will pass.
