i would appreciate some input from the boards most revered jw scholars.
i am not certain why i feel compelled to have some questions answered by the kremlin (read wts.
) maybe that i need final closure in order that i may move on, or i am seeking a little revenge.. first off, a little background on my situation.

I'd have to agree w/the other posts here - although I'm sure its one of the most painful things you'll have to do - 25 years is a long time.
In the end, you may find that it will relieve you of many "burdens" you carried respecting this woman and her religion. Your children may also find peace in this. Hopefully, it will work out as much in this life does - for the best.

I'm sorry they're giving you such a hard time. Humans generally despise/hate & fear what they cannot understand. For you to site "examples" of JW issues invokes fear - fear that God's true organization could have flaws, fear that they need to "think outside the box". You must remember feeling the same way yourself - no?
Happy - you are a true christian and a loving decent man. I'd vouch for you, but I don't think I'd be very welcome over there, as I have enough "examples" to probably have them reeling for weeks.
One thought regarding the responses you received - I always find it interesting that JW's can "generalize" everything about their religion, yet individualize every "example" given of flaws within their same religion. "Thats just a one time occurence" they say, "how dare you even mention it"........they forget that every life bears saving.
It also bothers me out of all the responses - not one had any compassion for the victim - that should tell you something no?

in my life i have learned that in order to truly hate someone or even to hate something.
i have to spend so much time carrying around all the files of memories that give me the reason to fill that way.
i have to think about the person, the thing or the place.
But Jesus didn't hate the prostitutes, he didn't hate the tax payers, he didn't hate the common criminals - who he hated were those that purpoted to be speaking for GOD, but who's actions were contradictory to Gods word - the golden rule.
Also, while we're talking about hate - I don't think that's the emotion that gets us.....I HATE many things, but it doesn't affect my life. Its anger that will eat you alive - that's the one that you have to look out for. You can resign yourself to "hate" something or someone - and generally still live with that decision regardless of how "happy" you are.

I live 10 miles from "hell" - quaint little town!
there were several different careers that the wts did not aprove of.
such as a being a cop, for having a gun.
couldn't be a martial arts instructor.. maybe it was a well paying career.. did you have a job that was not approved of?
One of my favorite elders owned an Engineering firm. He was listed as one of the top 100 businesses in our area (out of 1000's). Had to give it up - took too much away from his responsibilities - now he delivers newspapers.
I think Attorneys & Docs would be out too, to many "conscious" issues they may have to face in their perspective careers.
