I keep thinking about Terminater and don't like the idea of them taking over.
Yes - but I could sense some wonderful advantages to having a 6-million dollar man around the house - couldn't you?
ibm has a contract w the govt to build computers that are about equal to the computing power of the human brain.
with the right software, they say, these computers could mimic humans.

as some of you may know my ex wife has been studying with the witnesses, and has allways had a soft spot for the wt teaching of neutrality in wartime.
ive been sending her information from this site with issues i feel are important such as silent lambs, blood, the two witness issue and shunning.
anyway she has been useing the information to ask questions one elder after reading information from here said that he shouldnt be reading apostate literature.
I've never understood how we as JW's were constantly told to "challenge our faith to determine we had the truth", yet we were not allowed to compare it against anything worldly.
Go figure!
last friday, one of our employees' home burned to the ground, killing all 3 of his children.
i began the process of taking up a collection, buying the card, etc.
all of us were shocked to the core for this man's tragedy and suffering.
found/iwasyoung - if you do want to donate (although it is ENTIRELY unnecessary, just email me @ [email protected] - i'll forward the details). As of today, $30,000.00 has been donated (covering all funeral expenses) and our company has just purchased a memorial bench at the Botanical gardens in the children's names. Such worldly ones - will their generosity never end?!!!!!
ok.....here's one for you.....maybe this follows on from previous posts about not forever being "ex-jws" as after all, you say you have to move on, and many here claim that they have.....however reading most posts here it becomes obvious that that doesn't seem to be the case.
many seem to be trapped in a "go get 'em" crusade against the jws that seems to go round and round ...... and others just go round.. why?
how long before resolution occurs?
I'm sure alot have moved on Scooby - and come back & left again.
Most stay here for the interesting discussions & friendships that are made online. There is nothing wrong with feeling a part of a community - albeit cyberspace. This isn't the same indoctrination as the JW's - there's no penalty for walking away from here, and coming back if and when you want to.
Some have met spouses here, others good friends. All usually walk away with something, if they walk away. And if they don't - so what - its kinda like the local coffee shop you frequent -
Call us Cheers!
my daughter just called and is in bad pain.
she had an operation to try and stop it, but the doctor couldn't see any reason for it, other than stress.
she hurts in the lower section of the abdomen and rectum.
It sounds like it might be irritable bowel syndrome - which is usually stress induced. But make sure this time they do a thorough baria enema - all the way from mouth to rectum. Also make sure they do a colonoscopy too, to search for hidden polyps or lesions.
& I hope she's feeling better soon.
((Undecided & Daughter))
I've thoroughly enjoyed your posts scumrat - stop in & say hi from time to time kay?
Good luck & God bless!
Yeah - JJ's probably pissed that he didn't make this thread!
your partner gets home from work, and he's in a shitty mood.
he kicks the cat (twice) and the doors are hanging off their hinges.
1. say: did you have a bad day at the office, dear?.
Kick him out - my kids aren't gonna watch some maniac who can't control his temper!
And, first I'd kick him where he kicked the cat!
In regards to your above statement - I would have to agree whole-heartedly - you cannot use your life as a JW (or any other traumatic event) to blame for what choices you make in the here and now.
But, if the implication that most who post here are "blaming" their problems on being JW's, I guess I'd have to ask what brings you here?

I also forgot to mention that 4 different "clubs" (moose lodges) have also taken up donations - and the food last night at the visitation was more than Russ/Diane will be able to eat in a lifetime. Russ said they will donate leftovers' to local food banks after today's funeral service.
