There's no two ways about it - you're really nice. You consider others before yourself and aren't afraid to stand up for people you care about. Relationships are important to you, and the friendships you have are for life.
But i left high school a real long time ago.

Because, like men, some women suck!!!! From all you've said, your wife is a deeply troubled woman who needs ALOT of help. You've known this for so long, I'm surprised that you're suprised that she was unfaithful.
You have the right to be happy Yeru - with someone who isn't screwed up in the head & won't hurt you. There are alot of women out there like that who would LOVE the chance at a good relationship.
Sorry this sucks so bad for you right now. Wish there was something I could do or say to make it better (wanna argue politics?)

Did I die?
by benext inlast week at the kingdom hall, my mother was met by an elder who said: "i'm sorry to hear about benext, she found that puzzling then another mournful face who told her they'd help her in any way they could.
the gossip had gotten around that i no longer "went to my meetings like i should.
" i've been inactive for a year and haven't been to a meeting for several months.

Regardless of how we feel about the "after life", I find some small comfort in this thought...
Whenever we all get to the afterlife (if there is one) then we will be able to get the last laugh so to speak with those that continue to hurt us. Then, we can all kiss & make-up, then make up for lost time. Life here on earth passes quickly, and who know's what lies beyond (if anything).

Help with stepson
by caligirl ini started this post under kids and parenting, then i realized that not nearly as many people look under there, so i put it here also.. my stepson lives with his "witness" mother.
he is early teens, and recently baptized (he tells us it is because other kids his age did it) he has heard my son talk about holidays and had no qualms accepting christmas gifts from my family last year.
i think he knows that we are fully "out", though the subject has never been discussed.

It sounds as if ex has serious issues, this cannot be easy on either of you. When I talked of the "step" parent taking the blame, I certainly wasn't meaning from you Freedom - I was referring to the "ex", and it sounds as if she has quite the axe to grind.
If your son's old enough, heart to heart is the only way to go. But, doesn't his own religious beliefs come into the picture? If he truly believes the JW's, then he's going to be torn as to what the right thing to do is.

I hope you don't get upset with what I'm about to say, but I feel its in your stepson's best interest at this point for your husband to "take a stand". Knowing that's one of the most difficult things to do, and not knowing the age of your teenage son, he is being pulled in 2 different directions - and encouraging "secrecy" will only make it more difficult for him in the long run.
How he views his father is extremely important. If he sees his father living a double life, it doesn't set a very good example (imho - & I'm not judging here). Plus, he may begin to resent his father, and in the long run the fact that your hubby is secretive leads son to believe there's good reason for it.
Of course age is extremely relevant here. If the son is old enough to understand all the idiosincricies that are involved, a good heart to heart with him might do the trick.
Whatever you decide to do, its not easy I'm sure! Hopefully you won't end up being the "bad guy" as step parents usually get the blame.

Putin (King of the North) & Bush (King of the South) made a declaration of friendship in May of this year.
In light of recent "current" events, wouldn't it appear that the King of the North is actually the United States, considering how much they've been pissing off the UN lately? Even though they got their "resolutions" they are still under fire from the world community for many of their foreign policies as late. Doesn't the UN turn on the King of the South? What leads you to believe that either of these are reasonable choices for either of the Kings, especially with the sleeping giant country of China waking up. There is also the entire Islam community at large that hadn't been given any thought in any Christian doctrines. Where do they fit in?
Right now Iraq's huge reserves (2nd only to Saudi Arabia) are off-line. If and when Hussein is toppled the USA will ramp up Iraq's production to rebuild Iraq's infrastructure and help pay off the 100 billion dollar expense of the war.
I have never known the United States make a country pay off any expenses of war - I believe we have always paid for the "clean-up" afterwards. So what leads you to believe the above is true?
I am talking about the Great Tribulation which leads up to the end. By the time the end comes the whole world will have received a witness. The Watchtower cannot prove that people won't be able to join up after the start of the Great Tribulation. Daniel 11:34 indicates many will "join them by means of smoothness
How would you propose this would take place, with everyone running around killing their next door neighbors, scrounging insects & mice to eat and the what not - wasn't it made clear than as soon as the GT started, the preaching work was OVER - doors closed end of story. What makes you think that persons would have an opportunity to preach? -

(Heaven) - Its your uncles loss - the sad thing is that I feel sorry for them (like my mother). Their pain is real - whether based on a cult or not. They truly believe what they say, and must live with it themselves.
