Elders told to befriend young ones.
by LostintheFog1999 insomeone on this forum kindly posted a link to the program of the current elders' training schools taking place.. i was just looking at it and thought that the part i have highlighted looks innocent enough unless the elder has an overfondness for young ones.. if he is spending too much time with the younger ones he can say, with hand on his heart, i am simply following through on the latest direction from the organisation about befriending, training, and mentoring the young.

I knew of this situation that happened many years ago. ( told to me by the family members) A married circuit overseer would stay at a sister's home. She had 3 daughters and one son. When the CO and the wife would stay there, the wife shared room with the girls and the CO with the young man. Also, the young man was invited to go along ( seems like to maybe travel with...can't ask now as I am a pariah!) with the CO one summer if I recall correctly. The mother of the young man was happy this CO was paying attention to her son as she was a widow...the oldest of the 4 kids was 7 when the dad was killed in the Korean War -that helps with the dates. He grew up without a father and that always bothered him. He also grew up Bi-polar and Gay. He was disfellowshipped for a while for his orientation, but got reinstated. He was a very mixed up and sweet soul. He wasn't allowed a funeral at the KH because of his many issues...He would cry and say, " All I ever wanted to do was serve Jehovah." ( the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak )
It wasn't only the boy who was prey for sexual predators in the JW, but also the girls. The mother ended up moving away from one town/congregation to another because someone in the congregation was Handling the girls and no one would believe it, so the Mom took the family away from that scene.

it seems to me the height of hypocrisy that the JW should post how to avoid misinformation, and to make sure of all things....they are the publishers of misinformation and don't want you to fact check them. ( off with your heads!)

Will JWs throw you under the bus if you have a transfusion?
by Vanderhoven7 inmark writes.
"if a person accepts a blood transfusion, the jehovah’s witness elders are required to “investigate” to see if the person is sorry for “cowardly” saving their life.
if the person doesnt beg and grovel to the elders for allowing the doctor to save their life (or that of their child) then the elders can take this as a sign that he/she has disassociated from the congregation - and tell the congregation to start shunning them.. if someone willingly takes blood, perhaps because of being under extreme pressure, the committee should obtain the facts and determine the individual’s attitude.

The Chosen
by enoughisenough ini started watching the chosen because i have amazon prime (free to watch) and i saw some sort of reference to in on youtube if i recall.
anyway, imo it is so heart warming the way jesus is being portrayed.
i was thinking even if the jw produce that series they plan on the life of jesus, it will have a high bar already set.

I probably am ticking this person off a bit. I wrote back I had watched it and how they didn't follow their own advice where the vx is concerned ...It isn't safe and effective and they are still pushing it. You can get disfellowshipped for smoking because it it harmful to your body. I suggested they please explain to me how God can be directing the GB to promote this poison, that I just didn't get it. The account I read mentioned 9 AM and the meeting starting at 9:30... It's all very odd. Maybe both parties were in on the incendiaries that were thrown...the article also said FORMER members...There is a real story here and I hope we come to learn of it.

"on the other hand.....is unrepentant....announce his disassociation" . What a word play...they disfellowship and say the person disassociated. There is a big difference between being kicked out and leaving on your own. As to being thrown under the bus...Yes, you can count on being thrown under the bus for even things you haven't done let along what you have.

need help from good elder
by enoughisenough ini have a friend in another state that doesn't know i disassociated.
i have come right out and said on more than one occasion when talking about what the bible says verses the wt, that we are being duped.
the person tends to agree but then buries their head in the sand and forgets.

oops! I just couldn't not say more to the person and so wrote: where was the good elders when the victims ask for help and I pointed out that the elders call the branch's legal department ...so is it the legal department that sweeps this stuff under the rug...I also mentioned one elder was removed because he wanted to investigate the issue of the man abusing the children. I think I won't be popular!

I have come right out and said on more than one occasion when talking about what the Bible says verses the WT, that we are being duped. The person tends to agree but then buries their head in the sand and forgets. I sent a link to the article about the child molester with connections to the occult. The reply came back was how horrible that was and Jehovah has told us that not all in the congregation are good and we have to choose our friends wisely...for me to stop digging into this stuff that wasn't any of my business,I am making Satan happy and he is suckig me down, to stick to the Bible, and to get help from "good elders" ( good place to gag!) I replied : Yes, sticking to the Bible is words to live by and we won't be duped! Anyway, another friend out of state told me straight up not to send any more emails. They just don't want to see or hear anything that goes against the GB narrative. I wanted to write back and say it is the good elders under the direction of God's organization's branch that sweeps these child molesting issues under the rug...but I didn't because at least for now, they still communicate some. I have burned a lot of bridges!
