In cases of adultery, they want details of the marital couple, so they can pin the lack of "putting out" for an excuse for brother adulterer. Have to protect the good ole boys in the boy's club.

i may be mistaken, but wasn’t there a governing body video where one of them said something along the lines of you don’t trust that the vaccines are safe do you really believe that the governing body is the faithful slave?

perhaps i imagined this but i thought something like this was said.

At our zoom assembly ( 2021/ I think ) anyway, the circuit overseer gave a talk about trusting Jehovah. He said we had to trust Jehovah and if we did, we would trust the GB. and to obey them and take the vaxx. So in other words, if you don't take the vaxx, you don't really trust God Almighty.

the reason: only their handling of sexual abuse has been scrutinized by the government, while other religious groups remained unaffected.

they find the fact that only they were the 'target' unfounded and therefore discriminatory.. the fact that a religious organization is suing the state is 'fairly unique', says special professor of law and religion paul van sasse van ijsselt.

Is AI going to change the world?

had lunch with a friend, whose a lecturer in the accounting dept.

of one of australia's best universities.

he told me he expects to lose his job at some point in the next 5 years, as the accounting dept, will disappear, as all accounting will be done by ai programs, so why teach it.. if his fears are correct, that means that any profession that involves the mind, may one day face the same future.

I don't remember the movie, but when I think of this A1 business, I think of "dissasemble #5" So many years since I saw the movie, but the robots decided they did not want to be dissasembled and sought to protect themselves. There seems to be some merit to the thought of Hollywood and future developements. ( that is scary since there are movies about sombies AND the CDC considers that can become a reality.)

Manners and Respectfulness

i would like to know if there are any ex's or formers who still appreciate good manners and respectfulness?

my take on it is if you were a polite mannerly person before leaving the JW, that is still the sort of person you are. If someone seems to be different after leaving the JW, they are likely just being their true self that they hid as a JW-but finding out they have been made a fool of for years fuels the bad behaviour/attitude. Just an opinion, but I have read enough comments on this page to discern that even when IN the org they had bad attitudes. All that being said, why should be expect goodness to come out of a bad organisation. I looked for good while inside, but I could write books about the spousal abuse, perversions, theiveries, lies, etc. Their personalities changed with the clothes they put on/ took out for meetings. So who are/were they /we really? ( so much for knowing it's the truth because of the love among themselves.)
